Splinterlands game keeps on doing new things to keep the community engaged. I believe that this is important because in any game community engagement is crucial. If the community is engaged then they will enjoy the game more and there shouldn't be any situation when they feel like they are playing repeated stuff. This is why it's important for any game to keep on building new things and also keep on bringing new things to keep the excitement on. I would say that splinterlands has been doing great on this part because from time to time we see a lot of things coming in the game and even they keep on changing the existing mechanism to keep the community engaged.
Recently they have announced that they are going to bring a new set of reward cards. Now these reward cards are coming from the latest booster pack edition. The new booster pack edition is called Rebellion so it is obvious that these cards are coming from this edition only. The new edition is mostly for gamers because the assets cannot be used on any other part of the game including land. Now I don't need to mention that with these new cards, new abilities are also coming and if you want to go through the abilities then you should read this post for more details. Nothing much has been shared about the cards but surely we'll be able to see more about the upcoming abilities. New abilities mean we need to learn how it works and I think this learning is again going to be fun.
The new set of cards will be released on the 15th of August and it is just five days from now. It's like from the next season on we are going to have these cards in the game and we will be able to buy those cards from the reward shop as well. We can use our glint tokens to buy these cards but also note that once these cards are live then the previous ones will be discontinued. The previous reward cards we had from Chaos Legion and this is going to be discontinued. They are soul-bound cards but with this change, they are also giving the option to unbound these cards following some terms and conditions. The printing will discontinue for the older editions because it is also not required when we already have the new addition in place.
I expect that there can be a good value addition for these old cards in the game because unbinding will start and we will be able to use these cards for any purpose in the game. I expect that there will be some value appreciation for the old cards but at the same time, new cards are also going to be good in the game. Let's see how it goes but I believe that this new edition will make things more exciting and fun in the game and that is what we all expect in the game as part of the project. It's right that many things are not going well in the game as of now but I believe that the team is working behind the scenes to correct and fix the problematic area and hope that things will be in better shape soon.
I'm excited to have this new set of reward cards in the game and looking forward to seeing it whenever it is available. I will see when I can buy this because for that purpose I will keep some glint tokens as balance. After all, this is something I can use to buy those cards that will empower my gameplay. I often try to keep myself updated with ongoing changes and something new coming up so I hope this time also I will keep myself updated with these new cards and learn how the new abilities work in the game.
