Staking is a good way to earn in crypto. It is considered a source of passive income, and many projects offer this reward. I am talking about the projects on the hive and not as a whole in the entire repo ecosystem. There are many more if you talk about the whole crypto space but even on Hive, I see a lot of projects paying a good APR. It is always good to earn more tokens for just putting into the steak and the same fundamentals are applicable with HP also. When we power it up then we have the option to earn through curation or even we can delegate to the curation projects and it generates passive reward for us.
Similarly with SPS also we have this option where we start earning some APR the moment it is powered up. Also we have the option to lease sps power and this way we can earn around 5 or 6% on top of the basic apr. If we are not giving the power on lease then also it is helpful because it will get you better rewards in the game if you are a player. So in both cases, you have the opportunity to earn with SPS and this is why having more SPS token balance is good.
This is my current balance of tokens in my account and I am going to have 58000 tokens soon. I also have more than 300 tokens in my account in liquid so I am going to power up all those. My goal is to have 60,000 tokens and I am very much close to this goal.
Now I am powering up these 309 tokens and this will increase the boost percentage a little bit. It is always good to power up more and I am trying my best to do this whatever is possible.
The power-up is done and now I have 57473 tokens locked in the game account. There is no more liquid token in my account and I also buy a token from the market from time to time. For example today I purchased 200 tokens and I will continue to do this. The price has gone up in recent days and maybe it will grow further that I don't know. It is Crypto and I don't know whether you know or not but it is difficult to predict things and I am not an expert in this area so I just try to see how the market works in the present time.
I have never un-staked any SPS till now and also don't have a plan to do this. I had a long-term plan with this game when I started playing in 2020 and even after four years my strategy with the Splinterland game is the same. I will continue to buy more and invest in different assets including tokens and cards whenever possible. You never know when things are going to be better and if that happens then the value of these assets will also rise. When the value starts growing then it is not easy to buy and this is why this time when the value is less it can be a good idea to jump in and start buying.
