Visiting the riverside during Winter doesn't sound like a clever idea because it's mostly foggy here, and it's hard to see anything in the morning.
However, when we reached the Atrai Riverside, our minds changed. This was probably the best trip we had this year. I know mobile photography can't do justice to the beauty. I'm sharing some of them to let you see the authentic beauty of rural Bangladesh.
We went to Panchagarh - the northeast district of Bangladesh to see the peak of the Himalayas from the Bangladesh border area. Because it becomes visible only this time of the year. Unfortunately, because of the foggy weather, we couldn't make that happen.
I have shared my trip in a previous post HERE.
I've shared this photo in my previous post, you can see HERE.
However, we have no regrets and enjoyed it quite a lot. I believe, no one would mind a family trip to this wonderful view.
This was the main tourist viewpoint of Atrai River where people gather in the very morning to see the peak of the mountains. After waiting for half an hour, enjoying some light snacks and tea while we waited; we moved on to our next destination.
And that is the Panchagarh Tea Garden!
But before we leave the place, this beautiful tree catches my eye. It looked like a flame, a beautiful flame!
The weather was still foggy. It was 11°C during that time.
The tea garden!
We were hoping to visit a private tea garden named Kazi and Kazi Tea Estate. But unfortunately, it was reserved for that day due to their family visit. So we had to move on to another garden.
Although this garden is not that eye-catching. But people who never have visited a tea garden would surely wonder. Tea usually grows in our mountain regions. But in the Northeast side of Bangladesh tea grows in flat lands like this.
We bought some green and black tea to bring back home. The tour ended, I would say successfully. Maybe it didn't go as planned but we enjoyed it. That's what matters, right?
I will share some more photos of the surroundings of the resort that we were staying in, in another post. Keep in touch. Don't forget to tell me which photo you liked the most.
