My social media reminded me that it's been two years since I visited one of Bangladesh's beautiful places—Sajek Valley. The place is 1200 feet up in the mountain, where you can literally touch the cloud. And I got to do that, for the very first time!
I can’t help but reminisce about that incredible experience. Let me share some unforgettable memories.
Sajek Valley is known for its rolling hills, lush greenery, and stunning sunrises and sunsets that stretch across the horizon.
We had to take local minivans to ride up there. The journey itself was a beautiful experience. The fall weather was so gentle, it was not too cold or hot but the sun was up and so were the clouds. Made everything picture-perfect.
When we reached the top of the mountain called the valley, we couldn't take a rest but wandered around seeing the green mountain from the top. It sure felt like we could touch the sky and were staying all above the universe!!
Our resort was in the perfect place to enjoy the sunrise. We experienced how the cloud travels to us in the early morning. It was magical.
We were 9 members of the family, it was supposed to be a chaotic tour. But guess what? Nature absorbed us so much that all we could do was observe the beauty around us.
The population of the valley is very small, so there was no crowd, we tracked the hill, went to different destinations in the valley, and enjoyed our three-day stay.
To all the places in the valley, I have enjoyed this village called Lushai. The breathtaking beauty of this place is undeniable. We could sit on the edge of the cliff and see the world down there.
It was such a beautiful experience.
I have been to other mountains. But what makes this valley exceptional from other places is the beauty and the experience. It was like stepping into another world – one where time slowed down. We could think only about nature and things about us and it let us forget about anything else.
The cloud!
We sat on the balcony of our resort and saw how the morning started in the mountains. The cotton-like cloud started to form early in the morning and soon it covered the whole area. We were above the could, can you believe that?
The whole experience was magical. I miss the simple joy of exploring the hill tracks, spending time in the local market, and simply sitting on the balcony and enjoying the clouds.
In our family group chat, we were talking about this tour. My mom also went with us and we three siblings with our kids and souses were there.
It was an experience of a lifetime. I wish I could be there soon.
