Who wouldn't prefer the smoky wood flavor, like the traditional taste in their pizza? I'm not sure about you but I love this more than the electric oven-baked pizza.
There are not many places that offer wood-fired pizza nowadays. Fortunately, I found a newly opened one and didn't wait to taste their pizza.
First I will show you their setup which seems very satisfying to me. It's not a brick-made oven but a portable steel-made one. I'm unsure if the brick-made oven is available anywhere near my living area because, in a city setup, it's quite impossible.
This place is on the main road of Mohammadi Housing Society. They offer many types of pizza, from BBQ to cheese-overloaded. Customize according to your taste and mood. The pricing was also very reasonable compared to other places.
I have ordered the regular chicken cheese pizza. Just look at it. The thick crust with the toppings looks delicious. And it's not just the look. But the taste of the burnt (in a few places) taste of the crust, and the woody flavor of the cheese made it perfect.
It was only 200 taka ($2) for this 6" pizza!
Bonus!
We have also ordered some momos and fries while waiting for the pizza to be served. As they are fire-baked so they take some time.
This is the place. There are a few roadside carts like this where you can get pizza, momos, burgers, and many other street foods as well.
Indeed, it will not bring a fancy dining experience. But I bet you will love the taste of the food. And will pay 1/3 of any restaurant.
So why not?
This place becomes full of life after evening. Many foodie like me gathered on the street, handed out, and enjoyed the food. It may not seem much but I love the vibe.
What do you think? Would you try pizza in this place?
