Five days ago, the 3rd of october I saw a surprising tweet from HBO. I wasn't expecting this, but they produced a documentary about Bitcoin and Satoshi Nakamoto. The documentary is about the figure of Satoshi Nakamoto and it investigates around his identity.

The documentary is called Money Electric, and it's supposed to be available today 8th of October. I will check if it's available in Spain today too, I hope so.

Who is Satoshi?

With all the expectation around the documentary there has been a lot of debate about the real identity of Satoshi Nakamoto. Some would argue that is somebody with close relationship with Satoshi at the beggining such as Len Sassaman, Adam Back or Nick Szabo among others.

There is a betting market in Polymarket where we could see the evolution of the odds.

As you can see in the image, at first Len Sassaman was above 50% chance, but now has fallen drastically to the 5,5% chance. Adam Back is leading the polls with a 8%.

If I have to bet, I would say that Satoshi is Adam Back. I've seen some evidences of this over the internet.
But I hope that we never know who Satoshi is, it's better this way. If we ever have a point of failure in Bitcoin, the stablishment will push it. The only failing point for Bitcoin is the identity of Satoshi.
