Combination of Scattershot and Blast | Splinterlands Social Media Challenge

in #hive-1332318 days ago

Hello everyone, Welcome to my Splinterlands Social Media Challenge post. In this post, I will talk about the combination of Scattershot Ability and Blast Ability, and more, as well as an amazing battle. I hope it will be useful for you.

Scattershot Ability

  • Scattershot Ability : Ranged and Magic attacks hit a random enemy target.

Ranged and Magic Attack Units with the Scattershot Ability hit a random enemy target. My favorite part about the Scattershot Ability is that it can target Camouflaged Units and is not influenced by Taunt; which can disrupt the opponents' strategy.

And especially when Scattershot Ability is combined with Blast Ability, it can be much more effective in battles. Because the random attacks that also damage the units adjacent to the target Unit are incredibly effective. These types of attacks can sometimes damage 3 targets at once with a single hit, or even destroy 3 targets.

Especially in battles with the Explosive Weaponry Ruleset, you should consider including the Scattershot Ability in your lineup. In battles with the Explosive Weaponry Ruleset, all units gain the Blast ability.

Blast Ability

  • Blast Ability : Does half damage (rounded up) to units adjacent to the target Unit.

Units with Blast Ability do half damage (rounded up) to units adjacent to the target Unit. By the way, Reflection Shield Ability does not take damage from Blast, so you should consider including Reflection Shield Ability in your lineup to protect against Blast attacks. However, it is very difficult to take precautions against units with both Scattershot and Blast abilities because the targets of Units with Scattershot Ability are unpredictable. This is exactly why I love the combination of Scattershot and Blast.

Chaos Dragon is a Dragon that has both the Scattershot Ability and the Blast Ability at level 2, so I use this card very often, especially to disrupt my opponents' strategies. However, since the Chaos Dragon card costs 14 mana, I generally prefer it in high-mana battles, especially in battles with 45 or more mana.

Let's see some of what I explained above in a battle.

Battle Ruleset

  • Briar Patch: All Monsters have the Thorns ability.
  • Fire & Regret: All Monsters have the Return Fire ability.
  • FiveAlive: Up to Five Units can be used.

According to the ruleset of the battle, all monsters in this battle will have the Thorns Ability and Return Fire Ability, and up to Five Units can be used. According to the ruleset of the battle, using Melee and Ranged Attack Monsters in this battle will be a disadvantage, so I will use Magic Attack Monsters and I thought that my opponent would have a similar strategy and determined my strategy accordingly. And especially, since I believed that Chaos Dragon with Scattershot Ability and Blast Ability could be very effective in this battle and could disrupt my opponent's strategy, I added it to my team without any hesitation.

BATTLE COMMENTS

You can watch the entire battle from the video or from the Battle Link.

When I saw the opposing team and the opposing player had almost the same strategy as me, I wasn't surprised at all, also the opposing team was more powerpul, but the opposing team didn't have a card like the strategy killer Chaos Dragon. When you watch the battle, you can see how effective the combination of Scattershot Ability and Blast Ability is in the battles, which is exactly why I do not hesitate to add Chaos Dragon to my team in such battles.

In the battle, all the Monsters in the backline except Chaos Dragon were fighting to destroy Iziar who has Taunt Ability and Void Ability on both teams, while only Chaos Dragon was attacking randomly. It is not easy to destroy Iziar with magic attacks, and considering that both teams have Triage Ability, it was really hard to destroy Iziar in this battle. That's exactly why I added Chaos Dragon to my team and it was on my team to disrupt the opponent's strategy.

Chaos Dragon put on a great performance in this battle and played a big role in winning the battle. Additionally, the Chaos Dragon's ability to damage or even destroy multiple enemies at once with a single hit makes it very effective in battles, and that's exactly what it did in this battle.

The most interesting thing was that while all the other Monsters on the opposing team were destroyed, Iziar with the Taunt Ability was still alive. Whereas, all players form their strategies based on the fact that Iziar will be destroyed first, which is exactly why I call Chaos Dragon a strategy killer.

The battle lasted 9 rounds and at the end of the battle, all Monsters on the opposing team were destroyed while none of the Monsters on my team were destroyed. The fact that the battle lasted this long shows that the opposing player's strategy was also quite good, but the Chaos Dragon ruined the opposing player's strategy. This battle showed how effective the Scattershot and Blast combination can be in battles, and I recommend you consider using this combination in your lineup. Additionally, having a card like Chaos Dragon that has both of these abilities is a huge advantage in my opinion, especially in high mana battles.
