Super Sneak Ruleset | Battle Mage Secrets Weekly Challenge! Splinterlands

in #hive-1332317 days ago

Hello everyone, I hope everything is going well in your life. Welcome to my Battle Mage Secrets post. In this post, I will talk about the Super Sneak Ruleset.

Super Sneak Ruleset

In battles with the Super Sneak Ruleset, all Melee attack Monsters gain the Sneak ability.

  • Sneak Ability : Melee Attack Monsters with the Sneak Ability target the last Unit on the enemy Team instead of the first Unit.

Melee Attack Monsters take 2 Melee damage back when they hit a Monster with the Thorns Ability, so I highly recommend that you take this into consideration when adding Melee Attack Monsters with the Sneak Ability to your team. Likewise, you can use Thorns Ability in your team's last position against Melee Attack Monsters with Sneak Ability and make them suffer. Therefore, if your opponent uses Melee Monsters, Thorns Ability will be very useful in battles with Super Sneak ruleset.

Additionally, Amplify Ability increases Thorns damage to all enemy units by 1. Therefore, the combination of Thorns and Amplify is very useful against Melee Attack Monsters. Meanwhile, the Reflection Shield Ability does not take damage from Thorns.

In battles with the Super Sneak Ruleset, if your opponent uses Melee Attack Monsters, putting a Monster with the Thorns Ability in the last position will be quite useful, but keep in mind that the opposing team may also have the Thorns Ability in their last position.

Battle Ruleset

  • Close Range: Ranged attacks may be used in the first position in battles.
  • Super Sneak: All Melee attack Monsters have the Sneak ability.

MY STRATEGY & LINE UP

According to the ruleset of the battle, all Monsters in this battle will have the Sneak Ability and Ranged Attack Monsters can perform ranged attacks from the first position.

Before starting the battle, when I reviewed the recent 5 battles of the opposing player, I saw that the opposing player had more powerful cards than me, so I could guess that this battle would be more difficult for me. When I'm matched with strong opponents, I stay away from choosing a predictable strategy, so I believe that in order to win the battle, my strategy should not be predictable. That's why I won't be using Melee Attack Monsters in this battle. I will be using Magic Attack Monsters in this battle, but I will definitely include a combination of Thorns and Amplify in my lineup.

The continuation of the strategy and my lineup is as follows;

LINE UP

Summoner : Franz Ruffmane

Franz Ruffmane is a Life Summoner that allows the use of one additional Gladiator card, and grants +1 armor to all friendly monsters. The main reason I chose Franz Ruffmane as the summoner was because I wanted to use a gladiator card in the battle. Also, all monsters on my team will have an extra +1 armor, which will give my team an advantage against ranged and melee monsters.

Position 1 : Blinding Reflector

Blinding Reflector is a Life Monster who can attack targets with a Melee attack and has the Magic Reflect Ability at level 5. Considering that there may be magic attack Monsters on the opposing team, I added Blinding Reflector to my team and put it in the first position. There will also be Amplify Ability in my lineup.

  • Magic Reflect Ability : When hit with a Magic damage, does half the Magic damage (rounded up) back to the attacker.

Position 2 : Venari Spellsmith

Venari Spellsmith is a Neutral Monster who can attack targets with a Magic attack and has the Dispel Ability and the Amplify Ability at level 4. The Amplify Ability increases Magic Reflect and Thorns damage to all enemy Units by 1, while the Dispel Ability will clear all positive status effects on that enemy, Dispel is a very useful ability especially against Monsters with increased stats. And I put Venari Spellsmith in second position.

  • Dispel Ability : When this Unit hits an enemy, it clears all positive status effects on that enemy.
  • Amplify Ability : Increases Magic Reflect, Return Fire, Thorns, and Corrosive Ward damage to all enemy Units by 1

Position 3: Spirit Hoarder

Spirit Hoarder is a Neutral Monster who can attack targets with a Magic attack and has the Triage Ability and Dispel Ability at level 2. In particular, I added it to my lineup because I believe her Triage Ability will be beneficial to my team. And I put Spirit Hoarder in third position.

  • Triage Ability : Heals the friendly back-line Unit that has taken the most damage by a third of max health.
  • Dispel Ability : When this Unit hits an enemy, it clears all positive status effects on that enemy.

Position 4: Helmet Kharafax

Helmet Kharafax is a Life Gladiator with no attack power but has the Bloodlust Ability, the Scavenger Ability, and the Void Ability from level 4. Helmet Kharafax has no attack power but I put it in the fourth position next to Aves Sturgis so it will gain 3 magic attacks.

  • Bloodlust Ability : Every time this Unit defeats an opponent, it gets +1 to all stats.
  • Scavenger Ability : Gains 1 max health each time any Unit dies.
  • Void Ability : Reduced damage from Magic attacks by 50%

Position 5: Aves Sturgis

Aves Sturgis is a Life Monster who can attack targets with Magic attacks and has the Weapons Training Ability and the Divine Shield Ability from level 2. The most important reason why I added Aves Sturgis to my team was that it has the Weapons Training Ability, and thanks to the Weapons Training Ability, both Helmet Kharafax and Evelyn Auvera will gain 3 magic attacks so I put Aves Sturgis in the middle of them in the fifth position.

  • Weapons Training Ability : Adjacent Units with no attack gain this Unit's attack, up to a maximum of 3.
  • Divine Shield Ability : The first time the Unit takes damage it is ignored.

Position 6: Evelyn Auvera

Evelyn Auvera is a Life Monster with no attack power but has the Immunity Ability and the Thorns Ability at level 3. Even though Evelyn Auvera doesn't have any attack power, I put it in the last position next to Aves Sturgis so it will gain 3 magic attacks. Since it has the Immunity Ability, it is immune to negative status effects, so it is unaffected by poison. Also, since it has the Thorns Ability, enemy Melee attacks with the Sneak Ability will cause monsters to suffer.

  • Immunity Ability : This Unit is immune to negative status effects.
  • Thorns Ability : When hit with a Melee attack, does 2 Melee damage back to the attacker.

BATTLE COMMENTS

Round 1

Apparently the opposing player thought that I would use Melee Attack Monsters, and it was really hard for me to win this battle with Melee Attack Monsters. Also, if I had used Melee Attack Monsters with 5 or more attacks, it would have been much harder to win this battle, but fortunately I didn't use them.

In the first round, all attacking monsters hit their targets, but my team's attacks were more effective and the enemy magic attack monsters took damage back from Magic Reflect. In the first round, while the opposing team's Diemonshark was destroyed, no monster from my team was destroyed.

Round 2

Since the opposing team's front line was very weak against magic attacks, it was quite easy to destroy the enemies, and in the second round, 2 more Monsters from the opposing team were destroyed, while 1 Monster from my team was destroyed.

Round 3

In the third round, one Monster from the opposing team and one from my team were destroyed, and Djinn Oshannus also took serious damage and its health dropped to 5. Honestly, I was really surprised that the level 4 Djinn Oshannus couldn't dodge magic attacks, my team was doing a great job.

Round 4

In the fourth round, Djinn Oshannus managed to dodge one attack but could not dodge 2 and its health was reduced to 1.

Round 5

In the fifth round, the last 2 Monsters remaining on the opposing team were destroyed and my team managed to win the battle.

The battle lasted five rounds and at the end of the battle, while all the monsters on the opposing team were destroyed, 3 monsters on my team were still alive and the stats of Helmet Kharafax were quite remarkable. Although the battle had the Super Sneak Ruleset, neither the opponent nor I focused on using Melee Attack Monsters, which was not surprising, as many players in such battles pay more attention to taking precautions against Melee Attack Monsters with Sneak Ability. So we both set traps against Melee Attack Monsters with Sneak Ability, but it didn't work for either of us. However, it was smart for the opposing player to add Tide Biter with Reflection Shield Ability to the team. In the battle, my strategy worked and my team managed to win this battle, but if I had used Melee Attack Monsters, I might not have won this battle. And if I used Monsters with 5 and more melee attack, there was a high probability that I would lose the battle because Djinn Oshannus had Forcefield Ability, and considering that it had 6 speed and the opposing team had Triage Ability, it would be really hard to destroy it. Fortunately, I did not fall into this trap, which is exactly why I focus on strategies that can win the battle instead of predictable strategies.
