Hello everyone, Welcome to my Splinterlands Social Media Challenge post. In this post, I will talk about Tinderlock card and my favorite strategy with it, and more, as well as an amazing battle. I hope it will be useful for you.
Tinderlock has the Last Stand Ability and Close Range Ability at level 1, the Silence Ability at level 4, and the Deathblow Ability at level 9. Tinderlock is a Rare card in the Fire Unit and belongs to the Riftwatchers edition, and it costs 10 mana.
- Last Stand Ability : +50% to all stats and current health (rounded up) if no other allied units remain on the team.
- Close Range Ability : Can use ranged attacks from the first position.
- Silence Ability : -1 magic power to all enemy units.
- Deathblow Ability : Deals double damage if the target is the only enemy unit remaining.
Lore
Lyshi was the greatest city in all of Argia. It boasted spectacular buildings, a wealth of cultures, and one of the most formidable militaries to have ever existed. Yet still, it was plagued by rebel insurgents.
These guerrilla forces took to placing explosive charges in the sewers and tunnels beneath the city, wreaking havoc on its defenses, commerce, and general welfare. They were the bane of Argian civilized life. Pledging to end this nuisance once and for all, the Earl Marshall equipped his fire wardens with state-of-the-art bloodfire amplifiers to clear the tunnels. Armed with their new blasting weapons, they became known as tinderlocks and quickly became an effective deterrent against any future sappers. For Source and More
Tinderlock has very powerful abilities that can be very effective in certain battles. I can say that it is one of my most used cards, especially because of the Last Stand and Close Range abilities. If you can make it the last remaining Unit on your team, he can become powerful enough to bring you victory. I usually set my strategy so that Tinderlock is the last one standing on my team, so I always put him in last position. I also always put the Martyr Ability right in front of it, and that makes it even more effective when he's the last one standing on my team.
If I feel that the opposing player's lineup will not have the Sneak Ability and/or Snipe Ability, I never hesitate to add Tinderlock to my team and put him in the last position because the probability of being targeted by enemies until he get to the first position is very low. And I can say that it is one of the cards I use the most, especially in battles with Going the Distance, Fog Of War, Briar Patch and Keep Your Distance rulesets, because the probability of being targeted by enemies until he get to the first position is very low in these rulesets. As I said above, I always put the Martyr Ability adjacent to Tinderlock, we will see an example of this in the battle below.
My Tinderlock card is at level 2 and I would love to upgrade it to max level, when I looked at the market while writing the post, I saw that its price had dropped incredibly. I can say that I was very surprised that the Regular one was sold for $0.14 and the Gold Foil one was sold for around $1.2 and I have decided to upgrade it to level 4 as soon as possible.
Let's examine my favorite strategy with Tinderlock in a battle.
- Unprotected: All units have 0 armor and cannot gain armor from summoners or abilities.
- Going the Distance: You can only summon units with ranged attacks.
According to the ruleset of the battle, only Units with ranged attacks can be summoned in this battle and all Units will be unarmored. In these types of battles, I add Tinderlock to my team without hesitation, and I will do so in this battle as well. I put Tinderlock in the last position and Venari Marksrat with the Martyr Ability in the third position right adjacentto it. If my strategy works the way I want Tinderlock will gain +1 to all stats thanks to the Martyr Ability, and will also gain + 50% to all stats when he is the last one standing on my team. Considering that the Units on the opposing team would not have armor, I knew that it would not be easy to resist Tinderlock's brutal attacks.
Actually, the opposing team was much more powerful and the opposing player's strategy was also quite good. Until the end of the 4th round, the opposing player's strategy worked quite well and while only Tinderlock remained on my team, the opposing team still had 3 Units alive. However, after Venari Marksrat was destroyed, Tinderlock already got +1 to all of its stats, and when he was the last one standing, he got +50% to all of its stats and now had 6 Ranged Attacks, 5 Speed, and 15 Health, which is why I love this strategy.
Martyr Ability and Last Stand Ability increased almost all of his stats by 100%, and it was no longer easy to resist Tinderlock's brutal attacks. At the start of the battle Tinderlock had 3 Ranged Attack, 2 Speed, and 9 Health, now he has 6 Ranged Attack, 5 Speed, and 15 Health.
In the last 3 rounds Tinderlock managed to destroy the remaining 3 Units on the opposing team and my team won the battle. My strategy worked pretty well in this battle, my team managed to win against a pretty powerful team. I talked about one of my favorite strategies with Tinderlock, and I can say that it works pretty well in this type of battle and I win the vast majority of the battles. However, my strategy may not work very well when the enemies have armor and the opposing team has Repair Ability, so I recommend using Armor and Repair Ability to counter Tinderlock.
I really want to upgrade my Tinderlock card to max level as soon as possible, because I'm sure it will be even more useful when it has the Silence and Deathblow abilities.
