Last year, Pailaw was also fun and exciting. There's a lot of people who attend, and some are from a neighboring town. Because of that, Bansud was again alive and thriving. This year is no different; the people from different places flooded Plaza de Bansud, and it really amazes me how this place was filled again with a lot of people, from kids to adults. And everyone had a lot of fun, from watching the program, the small events, and the fireworks display. Bansud once again had received a lot of praise, and I am just so proud because I live here, hehe.
So this is a photo before the opening of the lights, from the Christmas light and hundreds of decorations all over Plaza de Bansud, including the Big Parol. It is 6:08 pm, and it's already dark, so so dark as you can see. They are just waiting for the right time to open all the lights. It's hard to walk though because it is this dark, lol. That's why we chose to stay at one place while waiting.
And then after 20 minutes, one by one, they started turning on the lights, and everyone was clapping and shouting. Look at the kids jumping and shouting in happiness, the adults are smiling widely, recording everything. Having this Pailaw in our town is seriously one of the best events here in our place. Everyone is happier.
Left, right, front, and at the back, you can see a lot of people here. Because of that, it became a little harder to walk, lol. I've been complaining to Mama, there's just too many people in there. While I'm complaining about the floods of people, she, on the other hand, was complaining about the WiFi. Because there's too many people, her phone is having trouble connecting to the wifi, lol. But I already reminded her beforehand that it will surely happen, so she shouldn't expect anything. But she didn't believe me, lol.
This is what you'll see in different corners of the park. Set of friends, a whole family, and even with the couples. And here I am with Mama, I wish I had that someone too ಥ_ಥ, haha, just kidding.
But the situation near those big Parols is worse, look at those people. I had a hard time taking photos on this part. Thanks to that, I couldn't take photos properly. I'll go back here next time, maybe once the weather gets better.
And here's one of the Christmas villages in the park. This is one of the kids favorites. You can see in the background some moms who're urging their kids to pose. I'm also urging Mama to do the same, and I will pass it on to my brothers, but she doesn't want to, lol. I just didn't force her, lol.
And here's some of the big parol displayed in here. There's a small version too, which is created by different schools. While the big ones were from a different barangay in Bansud. Pretty no? Hehe.
I can't wait to visit Plaza de Bansud again. I'll surely do that one of these days. Once Mama goes to Romblon to stay there for months, I won't be able to visit that place again. Because, to be honest, it's Mama who's the only reason I can visit someplace at night. If I have a choice, I won't really go outside. Although I like being alone, but when visiting places to have a walk or to have some fun, I still prefer to do it with someone. Ah, specifically with Mama, lol. I can be braver if I have that someone beside me. I am just too dependent on my oldies, what's going to happen to me if they leave me behind and alone in this world ( ꈍᴗꈍ).
Anyhow, I hope you enjoy this "Pailaw 2024" here in our place. It's one event that we all look forward to every year. I hope you also have this kind of fun event in your place or country (◍•ᴗ•◍).
