According to the dictionary, Telekinesis is the ability to make things change form or better still the ability to move things at a distance with one's mind.
Telepathy on the other hand gives the ability to read people's minds, know their deepest thoughts and what they are thinking.
My Choice
Both of these superpowers are not only tempting to have but very difficult to choose between but if I am to go with one of the superpowers, I will go for telekinesis. Don't get me wrong, telepathy is also good. As they say, knowledge is power, you get to know people's thoughts of you, if they mean you well or they meant harm to you and that way you get to avoid dangerous situations but then telepathy doesn't only give you the power to hear people's thoughts of you but also what people think about other people.
I as a person love privacy and I wouldn't want people in my deepest, darkest secrets which means I would cringe at the knowledge of knowing people's secrets as well. Not only that, imagine listening to a man's thoughts of what he would do to a woman probably sexually, trust me I don't wanna be listening to any of that. I'd rather love to be in the dark on people's thoughts, I mean what I don't know won't kill me right?
Now telekinesis is one superpower I would love to acquire. The ability to make things change form or move objects or things with my mind. Wow! would you look at that, I would love making a whole lot of things change form especially into things I love.
Okay, I won't say I won't be a bit selfish, I mean we all love good things right but if I wanna focus on people to target, I would go for most politicians in my country, you know those who loves to embezzle money meant for the masses, it would be a case of giving to those who really needs the funds. Call me “Robiness Hood” if you want but the idea of them keeping funds meant for the people for their own unborn 10th generation will be a thing of the past. Let those unborn generations also work hard like we are all doing.
If they keep increasing the price of things then they won't get to keep their money as I would be taking it back and giving it back to the people. We would keep going round in circles til they end up doing the right thing.
