Greetings everyone!
Today I spent the day in beautiful Makarska. It is one of the central cities of the Croatian coast. I've been here before and I'm really happy to come back again because I really have a great time every time. 🤗

Makarska is a beautiful city located on the Croatian coast of the Adriatic Sea. It is known for its beautiful beaches, crystal clear sea and the impressive Biokovo mountain that rises above the city. Makarska is a popular tourist destination because of its beauty and the variety of activities it offers to visitors.

We arrived at the apartment where we settled in and left our things. After that, we headed straight for the beach, wanting to make the most of every moment here.

We came to the beach and noticed that the sea was not like before. Namely, it is about the desert sand from the Sahara that towered over Makarska and other cities in the region.

Saharan sand is currently present over Croatia, as confirmed by the State Hydrometeorological Institute. This phenomenon causes a clouding of the atmosphere, giving the sky a cloudy, often yellowish hue. The sand comes as a result of the winds that carry it from the Sahara desert to the north, across the Mediterranean and further to these regions.

This time on the beach I am reading Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoyevsky.

Pigeons were everywhere on the beach. They are not afraid of people at all and we also fed them this time.

Here you can see the beach we were on. There are really many people, especially in the middle of the day. The beach is beautiful and clean. There are no sea urchins so we were barefoot.

We also bought ice cream on the beach. If you ever come here, we recommend the flavors chocolate symphony and pistachio ice cream. They were really very tasty and we had to eat them quickly so they wouldn't melt, so I didn't manage to take a picture of them right away when we took them. 🥰

After that we headed to the hotel for dinner. There was this cat in front of the hotel that I thought was very cute. 😍
