Vintage Vibe's Review - visited today
Gone are those days, when we used to clean our own cars, using water sprays at our residence. Anybody remember those fascinating times ? By the time we would complete the task, the appearance would have changed like a garage boy😀. Now we have beautiful spa for our car, and some beautiful names, that sounds like your car is going to have an energy drink.
Car Wash, Detailing Spa - and look at the name of this new place that I discovered today - Vintage Vibes - but the style and work is modern and new. We worship our vehicle on the occasion of Dussehra or Vijayadashami, and for this reason, we give a fresh look to the vehicles by doing a complete service, with full cleaning. This year, I preferred to go to this new facility Vintage Vibe's as it's nearby, just opened few months back.
They have set up the ambience very nicely, over a big space, advertising their expert touch. And it's set up at a posh area, so a lot of queue is there, hence I decided to go first early in the morning, at 8 am, but still there were five vehicles waiting before me. I am very specific about time, so when I inquired, I was told, it would be done within an hour. And what kind of service you offer ? Do you have steam cleaning of the engine ? Few years back, I have had a very bad experience of cleaning the engine with water resulting in electrical short-circuit in plucks. Unfortunately, they don't have that service available yet.
So currently they offer only water cleaning of exteriors and vacuum cleaning of the inside and the charges for that is 450/-. Price is reasonable, however, it took almost three hours to complete the work.
They have got an automated cleaning device to clean the bottom, and it's dealt at one place. Then it goes to another section, where they do the exterior cleaning. And then one other person, does the vacuum cleaning of the inside. And then the final polish is done after everything else is done. Unfortunately, there is no systematic management of all the different tasks to make sure the vehicle is delivered within the time frame that was promised.
The Cafe is only in the sign boards and is yet to start, so there is nothing to eat or drink nearby. I was so hungry that I had to call upon a friend and take his scooty to have some breakfast because the work was not done in time. Some people came in between and asked about a time slot that they could reserve and come, but that's also not possible. They just offer walk ins and people have to wait till the job is completed, which is not the best way of management.
A small office is set inside, where you can wait and make the payment. It would have been nice to have them provide some refreshments (coffee or tea or water) to the customers, and have them relax here while they take care of the service.
Last year, I had gone to the PDL AUTO HUB near to my native about which I wrote in this post, and the experience was way better.
So overall, great price for the service, but lack of proper rest area, professional management and commitment. Also the people working here did not feel like very well skilled, just getting the job done. A lot of room for improvement and unless they take care of these, they are not going to stick for a long time. Fancy show up can take you only to a certain point.
