Vonak: The Rise of Rebellion Common Rewards Pt.3

Introduction

Hello there! @saydie here, playing Splinterlands everyday!

By the writing of this post, It has been more or less 7 days already since the new set of soulbound rewards for Rebellion was released and players are starting to slowly collect them as well as find use case for them in the battle. For the past two weeks I have been analyzing how this new rewards will be utilized in battles and has already shared my thoughts on the first 8 common Rebellion reward and this time will be the last before I proceed on analyzing the Rebellion rewards in rare category.

Nimbledook Explorer was a 4- mana non- damage unit which comes with the Protect ability at level 1, increasing the armor of all allied units as long as it remains in battle. This will make a good card to use together with Grandmaster Rathe as not only it gives +1 Armor but it will also give the Void Armor ability, making magic attacks need to go through armor first before the target's health. It would also work great together with Eternal Tofu given that it is a summoner that gives Divine Shield on up to 3 3units and adding Nimbledook Explorer will just be another layer of defense. At level 5, it gains the Armored Strike ability which allows it to attack using its armor and although it does not have an attack, as long as it is next to units with Weapon's Training such as Aves Sturgis and Moxian Rebel, it will be able to copy its attack up to 3 damage. Finally, when it reach level 10, it will gain Heal which will allow it to sustain the damage it received and even last long enough to survive at Noxious Fumes ruleset and since it is only cost 4 mana, it will always be available on Little League.

The next card, Luceheim Demon, was an 7- mana range unit which at level 1, ahs the Snipe ability, making it possible to attack any non- melee unit which is closest to the first position and it right away has 3 range attack right off the bat. On Level 3, it gains Cleanse which removes the negative status of the tank unit and will have the Triage ability as it reaches level 10. Just like the first card, this will be good on Noxious Fumes ruleset cause not only it can use healing ability but can also remove the Poison on the tank. Might as well use it together with Eternal Tofu which can also give Triage during the Tactics phase together with Djinn Renova and Inevitable then you will have an team of nearly undying units.

The reveal for Broken Earth Thug comes from @clove71 which is one of the OG Splinterlands player and always has the positive outlook about the game. She also did giveaways either on discord or during her streams so better follow her so that you won't miss your chance to win. Now, onto the Broken Earth Thug, this is a melee card with the Opportunity ability at level 1 which would allow it to target the opponent with the lowest health and when it reaches level 4, it gains Cripple which reduces the max health of the target. As it only cost 3 mana to use this card, then it will be suitable for Little League and would make it more deadlier when used together with Waka Spiritblade that could give it Poison but if the ruleset was less restrictive, maybe it will also work together with Cryptic which not only gives Posion but also gives Expose which can remove Immunity, Void and many others or use it together with Lorkus which could give it +1 damage together with Affliction and Life Leach that would prevent the target to be healed while also increases the max health of Broken Earth Thug for each successful attack.

For the last card of this batch, we have Ujurak Brave which is a 6- mana range unit. It has the Immunity ability at level 1 which makes it unaffected by negative status effects and Silence at level 2 that reduces the magic of all opponent unit as long as this monster remains in play. Seems to be like a lower mana version of Harklaw but given that I rarely use Harklaw in battles, this card does not look as impressive to me specially that Immunity can now be remove with Expose though maybe it could still work on Noxious Fumes ruleset when the time comes.

Final Thoughts

And this ends my analysis on the common Rebellion Soulbound Rewards. Among this 4, I think that Ujurak Brave is the weakest, maybe even the weakest on the entire common Rebellion rewards. I just find its abilities lacking and think that there are far more better tanks to it with the same mana. On the other hand, I find that I would have many use for Nimbledook Explorer and Luceheim Demon cause next to Water, Life is among my favorite Splinter.
