Hola, comunidad. Mañana martes - Dios mediante - llevaré a esterilizar al gatito de la vecina de al lado. Esterilización que tiene una larga historia.

Todo comenzó cuando mi vecina se casó y se mudó con su esposo a un sector alejado de acá. Pasado el tiempo le obsequiaron "una gatita" y al poco tiempo falleció el señor

Ella regresó acá a su casa y se trajo su gatita.

Para esa época la gata de la vecina de la esquina había dado a luz dos mininos acá donde vivo, - no es mi casa propia, se la estamos cuidando a una señora que se fue a Colombia con su familia para trabajar allá - los había destetado y había "desaparecido" - sí, se "volatilizó" literalmente. Cuando informé a la vecina de la esquina que tenía 2 nietos gatitos en casa no mostró interés alguno en ellos, así que mi hijo Luis Felipe (@luisfe) y yo, asumimos su alimentación, atención y cuidado en todos los aspectos.

Hacía poco tiempo que había muerto nuestro perrito Beethoven de un tumor cerebral.

As time passed, they gave her "a kitten" and shortly after, the man died. She returned home here and brought her kitten. At that time, the neighbor's cat on the corner had given birth to two kittens here where I live, - it is not my own house, we are taking care of it for a woman who went to Colombia with her family to work there - she had weaned them and had "disappeared" - yes, literally "volatilized."

When I informed the neighbor on the corner that she had 2 kitten grandchildren at home, she showed no interest in them, so my son Luis Felipe (@luisfe) and I assumed their feeding, attention and care in all aspects. Our little dog Beethoven had recently died of a brain tumor.

No nos sentíamos listos emocionalmente para vivir otro proceso de "familia con mascotas" porque nos costó mucho la partida de Beethoven ... ¡Y menos con gatitos! Pronto, sin embargo, los mininos nos robaron el corazón.

Acá fue cuando regresó Meudy, nuestra vecina, con su flamante gatita quien al segundo día de estar en su nueva casa se vino para acá y se instaló. Se llamaba (pasado copretérito del verbo "ya no") Michu. Pasaba el día acá y se iba donde Meudy sólo a comer y dormir. Pronto dejó de comer allá y después se ubicó una camita acá y luego visitaba a Meudy primero una vez al día, después una vez a la semana ¡Ó cuando por el olor notaba que cocinaba carne, pollo o pescado!

Un buen día descubrimos que no era gata sino gato y de Michu pasó a ser Alfredo.

Alfredo se hizo muy amigo del Negrito y la Niña - con quien tuvo un romance clandestino que descubrimos cuando ya el pequeño "Chimuntrufio" venía en camino.

Mañana martes voy a llevar a Alfredo a Maracay con el Dr. Albert, para que lo esterilice. Me había dado cita para el viernes del apagón que afectó casi toda Venezuela y - por razones obvias - no pude llevarlo. Aunque si iba en camino para allá y me devolví antes de tomar el primer autobús porque se puso muy nervioso y agotado y forcejeaba para soltarse.

Pero otra vecina -Paunis- me prestó una cajita viajera para que lo lleve.

Todos los días salgo con él a dar un paseíto en la cajita para que se vaya acostumbrando y le cueste menos la ida a Maracay que es lejos y donde teansitaremos por avenidas con un volumen de vehículos al que no está acostumbrado.

Para concluir, les diré que la operación de castración cuesta 30$ . Algo muy por encima de mis posibilidades pero se me ocurrió una idea genial y acordé con otras dos amigas que también necesitaban esterilizar y tampoco podían disponer de 30$. Mensualmente - durante tres meses- nos reuniremos y cada una aportará 10$ para hacer los 30. Luego de tener los 30 haremos un sorteo a ver a quien le toca esterilizar. Este fue nuestro primer mes y salí favorecida en el sorteo. Ya le hicimos el pago móvil al veterinario y mañana llevaré a Alfredo con él para que le opere.

Hay otros detalles importantes acerca del por qué lo esterilicé a él antes que a la Niña. Les contaré en la próxima publicación al respecto.
