Hi everyone! Let me start by introducing myself. I'm a dedicated Splinterlands player, but until recently, I didn't pay much attention to the blockchain behind the game—HIVE. It wasn’t until a few months ago, after DHF (Decentralized Hive Fund) funded Splinterlands’ proposal, that I realized how vital the HIVE ecosystem is for both Splinterlands and its community. This realization has since inspired me to dive deeper into the world of HIVE, and I’ve already become quite engaged in it.
This is actually my second time participating in HIVE Power Up Day (HPUD). Last month, I powered up a significant amount—500 HIVE—which earned me the level 4 HPUD badge. That was a pretty big step for me, but today, I’m participating again, this time powering up 100 HIVE. That will earn me the level 3 badge. While it’s a bit less this time, I’m excited to keep growing my HIVE Power and be part of something bigger.
I’ve always been somewhat aware of HIVE and the concept of earning rewards for writing blog posts. However, I never made it a priority. In fact, I used to convert half of my post rewards into Splintershards (SPS), as I was so focused on boosting my Splinterlands assets. But after the discussions surrounding the DHF proposal and the realization that HIVE Power is crucial for community influence and engagement, I’ve changed my approach entirely.
I’ve now set my post rewards to 100% HIVE Power, with no more half-conversions to SPS. I’ve also committed to powering up HIVE whenever I can, with a personal goal of reaching 10,000 HIVE Power as soon as possible. While that might seem ambitious, I know that every little bit counts, and I’m determined to get there step by step.
In September, I challenged myself to power up every day for the entire month, and I almost did it! I powered up on 29 out of 30 days, and I’m now aiming for a perfect score in October. My goal is to power up every single day this month and, with that, earn the Hive Power Up Month (HPUM) badge. It’s a fun personal challenge, but it’s also an investment in my future on the HIVE blockchain.
What’s more, the current price of HIVE has made this power-up journey even more exciting. While HIVE has seen a recent pump from around 15-16 cents to 20 cents, the price is still fairly low in my opinion. I see this as a great opportunity to accumulate HIVE Power before the price potentially rises even further. Instead of being deterred by fluctuations, I’m taking advantage of this moment to strengthen my stake in the network.
So here I am, powering up another 100 HIVE today, continuing on this journey. It’s more than just a badge for me—it’s about being part of a decentralized ecosystem, growing with it, and supporting the amazing community that comes with it. I’m excited for the future of HIVE, and I can’t wait to see where this journey takes me!
