Neuron and nerve cell
Neuron or nerve cell is the basic structure and functional unite of the nervous system. All parts of the nervous system brain, spinal cord and nerves are made up of neurons. Neuron transmit messages in the form of electro chemical waves called nerve impulses.

نیوران یا عصبی خلیہ اعصابی نظام کی بنیادی ساخت اور فعال اتحاد ہے۔ اعصابی نظام دماغ، ریڑھ کی ہڈی اور اعصاب کے تمام حصے نیوران سے بنے ہیں۔ نیوران الیکٹرو کیمیکل لہروں کی شکل میں پیغامات بھیجتا ہے جسے اعصابی تحریک کہتے ہیں۔

The parts of a neuron which contains nucleus and most of the cytoplasm is called cell body. The fine projections of the cell body which receive messages are called dendrites. A long projection of the cell body which conducts messages away from the cell body is called axon. Terminal ends of the axon transmit the messages to the next cells.
نیوران کے وہ حصے جن میں نیوکلئس ہوتا ہے اور زیادہ تر سائٹوپلازم سیل باڈی کہلاتا ہے۔ سیل کے جسم کے باریک تخمینے جو پیغامات وصول کرتے ہیں انہیں ڈینڈرائٹس کہتے ہیں۔ سیل باڈی کا ایک لمبا پروجیکشن جو پیغامات کو سیل باڈی سے دور کرتا ہے اسے ایکسن کہا جاتا ہے۔ محور کے ٹرمینل سرے پیغامات کو اگلے خلیوں میں منتقل کرتے ہیں۔
