Hello, beautiful Hive users! This is my first post here and I am really excited to have finally joined this community, Hive. As much as I am excited to have joined this platform, I am eagerly looking forward to having the best experience here.
So, my name is Sharon David but I usually just go with Sharonquinn. I am from Nigeria and I just clocked 20 last month (September). I graduated from the University (Olabisi Onabanjo University) the month before that (August), with a Bachelor's degree in Geology and now I am facing real life, hehe. You know, waking up from my teenage dream and graduating college at the same time…I am now gradually coming to terms with the fact that I have become an adult.
Anyway, back to my little ‘About Me’ story, I am the first child of my parents (which can be a little tasking, hehe) and there are a lot of things I love and enjoy doing. I love reading, content creating, dancing, music, learning foreign languages, and writing, which is one of the reasons I am excited to join Hive. I would say that I resonate more with the entertainment world basically.
I can say I am someone who loves to sieze opportunities, taking advantage of situations I face and just trying in however way possible to make something meaningful out of it. I have been through a lot of trying times in the past and am aware that there would still be more to come but that has been my way of just wading through all of it…with God too of course hehe.
I believe in possibilities, like there is really nothing that is impossible when one puts his mind to it or is determined. I am also a person of nature. I love nature so much because it just brings so much peace and calmness to the heart and mind. And, I try as much as possible to be natural everywhere and in everything… being myself and pouring out all of me into everything I do.
I think I can say I am an adventurous person. I love to and always want to explore and I keep getting curious about a lot of things. Always wanting to know more and having fun learning new things, particularly about different cultures all over the world.
My dream is to travel the world as I grow and when I have the resources needed for it and trust me, I have started preparations toward fulfilling that dream. I also love music so much and it has been my childhood dream to grow up and become a musician. Of course, I have not given up on music, it is even one of the things I am starting to focus more on now that I don't have any academic work preventing me anymore.
Even though a few of these dreams I have and have had, have not come true, I really try not to stress it because I know they eventually will. That is only because many more of those dreams I have had in the past too have come to pass after waiting on God and doing my own part of working it out.
This brings me to the last part of my introduction (which now that I think about it should have been one of the first things). I am a Christian. I was born into a Christian home where my Dad is a Pastor and my Mom is a Minister in the church. Even though one is born a Christian, one still has to experience God and His work and actually give their lives to Him to actually become that believer and for me, I have seen that. Infact, God started his work in me from a very early age and growing up, He has only revealed Himself to me over and over again.
I am not a perfect person, I have so many flaws but throughout my two decades on this planet, I can tell that God has been working on me, in me and changing me. I keep noticing that I have changed, even from the kind of person I was last year. So, I am eagerly waiting for Him to perfect these changes.
Everything above is basically just who and what I am and aspiring to be. Thank you to everyone that has taken time to read my post. I feel honoured. It feels nice having a space to talk a little about myself. I also want to thank my mother @ngwinndave who introduced me to Hive. I look forward to doing greatly on this platform.
