Around Christmas time last year, @silver510 showed his tree with various Christmas silver rounds.
So last year, I too decided to start a collection of Christmas-themed silver rounds. You can see them HERE.
Thank you for the inspiration, @silverd510!
I've added a few more to the collection!

Have you ever wondered who the real St. Nicholas is?
Nicholas, who was born in the Asiatic village of Patara in the third century, is where the real story of Santa Claus starts. The region, which is currently on Turkey's southern shore, was Greek during the time. While Nicholas was still a child, his affluent parents, who brought him up to be a devoted Christian, perished in an epidemic. By following Jesus' advice to "sell what you own and give the money to the poor," Nicholas helped the sick, the afflicted, and the needy by using his whole fortune. As a young man, he was appointed Bishop of Myra and committed his life to serving God. Bishop Nicholas gained national recognition because of his kindness to individuals in need, his love for children, and his concern for sailors and ships.
The life and actions of St. Nicholas have been the subject of numerous legends and myths over the ages. These stories provide us insight into his remarkable personality and the reasons he is so adored and respected for protecting and assisting those in need.
A poor man with three daughters is the subject of one narrative. Back then, a young woman's parent was required to present a dowry—something of value—to potential suitors. The likelihood that a young woman will find a suitable husband increases with the size of the dowry. A lady was unlikely to marry without a dowry. Without dowries, the daughters of this impoverished man were bound to be sold into slavery.
The required dowries were mysteriously provided by a bag of gold that mysteriously came in their home three times. It is said that the gold bags that were thrown through an open window ended up in shoes or stockings that were placed out to dry before the fire. As a result, it became common for kids to set out shoes or hang stockings while they eagerly await Saint Nicholas' gifts. Occasionally, gold balls are used to tell the tale rather than sacks of gold. For this reason, one of the icons for St. Nicholas is three gold balls, which are occasionally depicted as oranges. Thus, St. Nicholas is a giver of gifts.
