I have planted several vegetables in my garden. In my backyard garden, a portion of it overgrew. I can already tell that I'll be upset when so many of my favorite summertime produce items— peaches, tomatoes, and zucchini, for example— become harder to find.

Last week I showed different kinds of peppers. I would want to share with you how I prepare these vegetables, if I can.

Shall we make bacon-wrapped jalapeno peppers?

You will need these ingredients:
Jalapenos, cream cheese, pepper jelly (optional), shredded cheddar cheese, and bacon.

1.Prepare the jalapeño peppers by removing the stems and seeds.

2. Mix cream cheese and your chosen jelly (optional). I used half a block of cream cheese and a locally produced jelly from the Napa Valley.

Make sure the cream cheese is at room temperature.

Mise en place! Mise en place is a French kitchen phrase that means "putting in place" or "gathering". It refers to the discipline and organization a good chef exhibits in the kitchen. Before cooking, a chef should have all of their ingredients and supplies prepared and organized, maximizing recipe efficiency.

3. Fill the jalapeño pepper halves with the cream cheese mixture.

4. Top with shredded cheese (any hard cheese). I used mild cheddar cheese.

5. Wrap a slice of bacon around each one of the jalapeño poppers, secure the end with a toothpick

6. Arrange in a baking tray. I lined the baking tray with aluminum foil for easier clean up.

7. Bake in 350F for 20 minutes or until the bacon is cooked.

YUM! Absolutely delightful!
