Hello hivers, an happy Sunday to you all! I hope you arer spending a nice weekend!
Today I'm here to show you how I used a small cardboard tray where there were some dried dates. Here in Italy is common to receive some dried dates during the Christmas time and I remember that my grand mother used to eat them with a few butter and a walnut inside of them (and the dates were really good!). This morning we finished to eat the dates on the cardboard tray and I thought to use that tray as a surface for one of my (fast) paintings. A nice way to give a new life to an old tray. ❤️
You can see the final result in the following pic:
I painted just a simple scene on the tray, my usual scene about home, but the result is not so bad, right? 😊 I use to place all the little things I paint in a corner of my lab and that corner is the favorite ones of the children who come here, because they can use all those things to create different worlds.
It's a mixed media (acrylic colors, oil colors and white ink) painting and, like I use to do, I took some pics while I was painting it figure so you can see the process too:
I hope you like it!
See ya soon and stay safe,
Silvia
