Hello hivers, an happy Tuesday to you all!
Another grey day here, it's cold and now it's raining really hard in my area. My furry friend Richy doesn't love this kind of weather and so he spend the most part of the day sleeping on his warm blanket on the sofa. 🐱
As I wrote many times, I love to work under the natural light and I use to work on my smaller artworks placing my working table close to the window, but today is a dark day and so I decided to study and to sketch some new ideas for my next pieces.
Now I'm here to share with you a simple, but interesting (for me and for my work) sketch:
As you can see, the subject is a little girl with a rounded head and large eyes with a long red dress. When I was sketching her I wanted to understand how a pale (or just in black and white face) could work with a dress (and a tiny scene about home) in different colors. I think the result is interesting and so I'll paint a similar one to add on my online gallery.
It's a mixed media (acrylic colors, oil colors and white ink) painting on around 150 gsm paper of a page of my small sketchbook and, in the following pics you can see the process too:
