Hello all Splinters,
As I shared in my season report, I kept focusing on Epic draw and I finally could upgrade Shock Trooper to level 2.
He is one of 3 rewarded Rebellion Epic monsters with negative battle skills. That means the longer he stays on the battlefield, the more damage to your team.
In this post, I would like to share some tips on how to use him in battle. I hope it helps you win more battles and claim a higher League.
This is also my entry for the Splinterlands Community Engagement Challenge 👍
Card stats
Let's see the below stats from #Splinterlands
- He has 4 mana - it's suitable for the Little League ruleset
- Electrified which deals 1 damage for each unit on your side each round, starting from round 2. It's the reason why I said at the beginning of this post, the longer he stays on the battlefield, the more damage to your team. However, I still can use him in the battle with Back to Basics ruleset. It's super helpful because you can not find other monsters with 4 magic attacks but only costs 4 mana.
- You also can use the monsters with Heal or Tank heal ability like Xenith Monk, Baakjira, Anasth Soothsayer or Merdaali Guardian, ... or using monsters with Triage ability like Angelic Mandarin, Daarg Deadblast or Spirit Hoarder to heal the backline monsters. It's to reduce the damage of Electrified

- The battle rulesets are Back to Basics and Beefcakes. This is a perfect match for Shock Trooper. So I decided to choose Water Splinter in this battle
- I prefer to use magic monsters with high HP at the front lines and let Shock Trooper shoot from the backline. There is no harm for him in this battle.
- My opponent also decided to use magic monsters with Obsidian as the summoner. This team looks stronger than mine with 4 magic monsters and Halfling Refugee level 3
- However, my team was faster and could make the earlier attacks. That was a huge advantage. My team killed 2 monsters in the round 1 and only lost 1 monsters.
- At the end, my team won the battle after 5 rounds.
That's all for now.
I hope you enjoy this battle and have a nice weekend!
