As many of you might know I've been playing Splinterlands since Alpha days. I got heavy into it back in Beta and currently hold around 2-3 full decks worth of beta which has been my primary push for the game. However I do still buy packs from time to time and invest into the game but it's not as heavily as it once was.
For example Rebellion I only ended up picking up 112 total packs this time around. Still a decent sized investment coming in at around $400. But not only that this year I also picked up some promo cards which are still for sale and invested into DEC and SPS.
The SPS Push
This year my primary push was to get myself to 1 million SPS. I'm happy to report I'll for sure be hitting that by end of year just based on land earnings right now and general staking rewards so far. I'll make a special post on that when it comes time.
I picked up a decent amount of my SPS at just above a half cent. At the time it seemed like a smart investment and honestly it has been as we have pushed a 80% - 100% growth on those tokens that I bought during that time. Plus they are now earning me vouchers and SPS on top of it.
The plan of action is once I hit 1 million sps I'm going to start to leave some liquid. The reason for that is a lot of the SPS earned right now auto stakes. For example guild rewards, land and battles all get staked and are not liquid. All of that is going to keep being staked and untouched but the staking rewards or other liquid SPS I'm going to keep in a liquid state.
The DEC Push / Land Push
Right now I need to focus down on DEC and land. With land 1.75 closing in fast I need to get my plots up and running. They have taken a bit of a back burner for the last few months as I invested and built up my SPS supplies and card supplies as they all just felt way too cheap at the time.
I think land can really be something and will for sure be a major sink/fee earner as it heats up. So I want to make sure I have my plots up and running and to also start tapping into those new liquidity pools.
In terms of value though the teams going to have to quickly figure out what's next on the list because those SPS rewards are set to expire rather quickly on the land side. That will be a interesting 2025 story for sure!
