This week has obviously not been the best. It is as if my Monday started somehow. Fast forward: this Tuesday was just there. I cannot believe I have not been able to write a story or share anything on my blog for the past 4 days, knowing fully well that I survive on whatever I will earn from here with no other means of income at the moment. This is because I will get home stressed and don't end up having the strength to pick up a topic to write about.
What I am presently working on is my final year project, which involves building a drone. I have been able to order some components and even bring the drone together, but I have not been able to complete it because there has not been electricity and my generator seems to have failed me. The generator itself is very funny because I was able to power it on Sunday, but on Monday, it did not work. I spent hours with the generator that Tuesday morning trying to figure out why it did not work and maybe be able to put it on, but I couldn't.
What even pissed me off the most is the fact that my generator mechanic is not taking me seriously. I called him on Monday to come check on my generator, and he promised he would come to check the generator out that evening, but instead he disappointed and promised me the next morning, which is Tuesday morning.
Tuesday morning came. I tried contacting him, but his number did not go through. When I got through to him, he said he would be there in the afternoon, but he didn't, and his excuse was that rain fell. Then I asked him, Okay, the rain has stopped, and he should come this evening as it is urgent as all my devices have low batteries.
This evening, I called him more than 5 times, but he did not pick up or reply to my messages on WhatsApp. I was so pissed that I had to call another person around 7 p.m. The person I called told me that he was at another place doing a job and that he would be at my side in 20 minutes, and he came even before the 20 minutes he mentioned.
Now imagine! if I want to call someone to help me out with my generator next time, who will I call? I told myself that I could not call the first guy again because he disappoints a lot, and this is not his first time doing this thing.
Although the second guy came to check my generators, he was not able to do it because he said he is not used to servicing gas generators; it was late and everywhere was already dark. I was glad that he used the opportunity to also check out the hostel generator and help make a temporary fix for it, as there was something damaged in it that may end up needing changing.
With the fact that we are already in the rainy season, I don't expect there will be electricity as much as there was before. This is why I need to get my generator working fine and also hustle well so that I can afford powering the generator.
