Last week, I ordered a denim jacket, which turned out to be a perfect replacement to a covercloth or a duvet to cover myself up when I am about to sleep. I was in thought of how I could solve the problem; that was when it occurred to me that I had a neighbour I could give to help solve the issue.
My neighbour majorly sews female wear, and I was not so sure if she would be able to render assistance to me or if she would actually do it for me free without charging me. I actually didn't care if she would charge me or not; I was willing to pay any amount, even in millions of dollars 👀, if she was able to solve the issue with the jacket.
I ran up to her room and dramatically asked her for help. I begged her to save my life, saying that I was about to die and the only antidote to not dying was her help. For real, I am such a dramatic person and I am more dramatic when it comes to asking for favours from friends. I know if I beg in such a dramatic way, I will increase my chance of getting their help. And the majority of the time, it works for real.
She saw how badly I needed the help and then asked me to wear the jacket so that she could take a look of how big it was. She was the one that took pictures with my phone of how baggy the clothes looked. Let me share it here again:

That was how she came through to save the day. She helped me to reduce the jacket not to be too baggy and made it perfect for me to wear. What she did touched me. I was briefly in thought about what I would have done if she was not there to help me. I probably would have put aside the jacket and not worn it on the day I needed.
THE MORAL LESSON HERE:
The moral lesson I was able to pick from what happened or from this story I just shared is that in one way or another we need each other. We cannot survive alone, and we cannot know how to do everything. This is why we need people around us. People, we can impact their lives and as well also impact our lives.
Also, it is important to treat people well and be nice to them. If I was not a nice person to my neighbour from the start, she would not have left what she was doing at that moment to tackle my issue and also help me to solve it immediately. In fact, she did it without charging me a dime. It was a kind gesture that touched my heart.
I had to get her something to show my appreciation because if not for her saving my life, you will probably be seeing my lifeless body on the internet by now.
Fast forward to Sunday. I was able to rock the jacket in church and took some pictures with my dear friends. I loved the way the jacket looked good on me, and now I do not regret buying it even though the price was 3 times more than I expected.
