Hello good people, how are you doing today? I hope your day went well.
I'm here again with something really different and beautiful. It wasn't really easy at the start but because I was doing it for my neighbor's child I really had to stay on it.
I Know there are parents here that can do this for their children, so there is no best place to share this simple but beautiful craft but here.
STEP 1
Get a cardboard paper or carton paper, use anyone that suits you better, I started the process by sketching a butterfly on a white A4 paper. This took me a little time to get it correct.
STEP 2
Place the drawing on the cardboard paper then follow the same process by making a very bold printing on the cardboard paper before using a pencil to shade it out. I did this so that I won't waste the cardboard by multiple wrong drawings.
STEP 3
Use a cutter,scissors ✂️ or a razor blade to cut out the drawing on the cardboard.
Here you can also draw the body of the butterfly and replicate the same process before cutting it out.
Then carefully use your gum to place the body of the butterfly in between the wings.
STEP 4
Cut the cardboard into rectangular shape, like this.👇
Then cut it into smaller pieces of a square shape like this.👇
Then I still went ahead to give it a triangle like shape carving the bottom of the paper to give it this shape here👇
Incase you want to make something similar to this just follow the process.
STEP 5
This is where I began to think on how to make it more colourful, you know children love colourful things, I later decided to go with my red and blue ink pen, took time to design the shapes I made earlier like this.
STEP 6
It was time for the listing 😊 so I spread gum on the shapes make them settle on the wings of the butterfly.
And here our beautiful butterfly is ready to fly…
I got the baby's bag from the mom, she told me to paste it on the bag, I don't know if it was really okay but she insisted, so I did exactly what she said, she was very happy.
I really struggled to capture the process because there was nobody to help me do that. But I'm happy it went well.
