Greetings, dear friends of #wednesdaywalk ! I hope you are doing great. I am feeling great, giving a smile to life, which is the best thing we can do to have a better day.
As every Wednesday, I'm here with you to share my walk. Last Wednesday I made a very beautiful tour of the city of Juan Griego. It all started because of work, but coming to this beautiful city and not touring its streets I think is unforgivable. For that reason, I went with my whole family to make my work a family outing, and so it was.
After touring Fortín La Galera and the Naval Station, where the boats gather to refuel, we decided to take a tour of the city. I must confess that its streets are very clean and beautiful. Besides, the people are very friendly and always willing to help.
Saludos, queridos amigos de #wednesdaywalk ! Espero que estén súper bien. Yo me encuentro muy bien, dándole una sonrisa a la vida, que es lo mejor que podemos hacer para tener un día mejor.
Como cada miércoles, estoy aquí junto a ustedes para compartir mi recorrido. El miércoles pasado hice un recorrido muy hermoso por la ciudad de Juan Griego. Todo comenzó por trabajo, pero venir a esta bella ciudad y no recorrer sus calles creo que es imperdonable. Por esa razón, me fui con toda mi familia para hacer de mi trabajo un paseo familiar, y así fue.
Después de haber recorrido el Fortín La Galera y la Naval, donde se reúnen las lanchas para poner combustible, decidimos dar un recorrido por la ciudad. Les confieso que es sumamente limpia y hermosas sus calles. Además, la gente es muy amable y siempre dispuesta a ayudar.
Of course, the heat that day was overwhelming and we had an immense amount of sunscreen on our bodies. We carried enough water to keep us hydrated, which is essential here on the island. We also carried our food, as we didn't know what we would stumble upon in this beautiful city. It is important to be prepared, especially when traveling far away.
Eso sí, el calor ese día era abrumador y teníamos en nuestro cuerpo una cantidad inmensa de protector solar. Llevamos suficiente agua para mantenernos hidratados, algo fundamental aquí en la isla. También llevábamos nuestra comida, ya que no sabíamos con qué nos tropezaríamos en esta bella ciudad. Es importante estar preparados, especialmente cuando se viaja lejos.
When it was time for lunch, our son, who is a Coca-Cola lover, went to the Rio market in town for soda and plantains, fruits, as we carried an ideal mixed rice that we made at home. We sat by the sea for lunch. The sea breeze and the sound of the waves made our lunch a very relaxing experience.
Al llegar la hora de almorzar, nuestro hijo, que es amante de la Coca-Cola, fue al mercado Río de la ciudad por refresco y plátanos, frutas, ya que llevamos un arroz mixto ideal que elaboramos en casa. Nos sentamos cerca del mar para almorzar. La brisa marina y el sonido de las olas hicieron de nuestro almuerzo una experiencia muy relajante.
As we had lunch very close to the beach, where there were many motor boats, we could see a lady enjoying the sea with her grandchildren and children jumping from the boats and having fun swimming. Anyway, we enjoyed our lunch with an ideal ingredient and aroma: the sea. There is nothing like eating outdoors, surrounded by nature and with the company of loved ones.
Mientras almorzábamos muy cerca de la playa, donde había muchos botes con motor, podíamos apreciar a una señora que disfrutaba del mar con sus nietos y niños que se lanzaban desde los botes y se divertían nadando. En fin, disfrutamos nuestro almuerzo con un ingrediente y aroma ideal: el del mar. No hay nada como comer al aire libre, rodeado de naturaleza y con la compañía de seres queridos.
After finishing and resting for a while by the sea, we saw that at the other end of the beach there were some small restaurants with a view of the sea and an interesting menu. We will keep this in mind for when we return to this beautiful city. It's good to know that there are options for all tastes and budgets.
Después de terminar y reposar un rato junto al mar, vimos que en el otro extremo de la playa había unos pequeños restaurantes con vista al mar y un interesante menú. Ya lo tendremos presente para cuando volvamos a esta bella ciudad. Es bueno saber que hay opciones para todos los gustos y presupuestos.
So, after finishing all my chores in Juan Griego, we decided to return home. The truth is that we felt very encouraged and recharged with lots of energy. These family outings always fill us with joy and allow us to disconnect from the daily routine.
Arriving at the exit of the city, we found some huge murals that say a lot about this beautiful place. So we happily took the road back home. The murals were colorful and represented the culture and history of Juan Griego, a real delight for the eyes.
Así que, después de terminar todas mis tareas en Juan Griego, decidimos retornar a casa. La verdad es que nos sentíamos muy animados y recargados de mucha energía. Estos paseos en familia siempre nos llenan de alegría y nos permiten desconectar de la rutina diaria.
Al llegar a la salida de la ciudad, encontramos unos murales inmensos que dicen mucho de este hermoso lugar. Así que tomamos felizmente la carretera para regresar a casa. Los murales eran coloridos y representaban la cultura y la historia de Juan Griego, un verdadero deleite para la vista.
I really like to enjoy these nice moments with my family and the truth is that it was a great Wednesday. I hope your Wednesday will be wonderful, full of good things and lots of positivism. I will see you again next Wednesday thanks to this excellent initiative of our dear friend @tattoodjay .
