Hello, dear hives and friends of #dailyblog . I always wish you a great day. I didn't have to work today, but since I can't sit still, I left the house to the nearest blockhouse. I'm continuing with our house wall project, something I need to finish as soon as possible. However, the budget has held us up a bit, but we will get it going again soon.
Hola, queridos hives y amigos de #dailyblog . Siempre les deseo un día estupendo. Hoy no tuve que trabajar, pero como no puedo quedarme quieta, salí de casa hasta la bloquera más cercana. Continúo con el proyecto del muro de nuestra casa, algo que necesito terminar cuanto antes. Sin embargo, el presupuesto nos ha detenido un poco, pero pronto lo pondremos en marcha nuevamente.
When I arrived at the blockhouse, the man answered me from the gate. I didn't understand at first and inside I said: "They are not good salesmen". But then I realized that there was a truck loading blocks and cement, and he was just avoiding an accident. I decided to return home and wait for my husband to arrive to give him the information I had been given.
Al llegar a la bloquera, el señor me atendió desde la reja. No comprendí a la primera y en mi interior dije: "No son buenos vendedores". Pero enseguida me percaté de que había una gandola cargando bloques y cemento, y él solo estaba evitando un accidente. Decidí regresar a casa y esperar a que mi esposo llegara para darle la información que me habían dado.
When my husband came home from work, while we were having lunch, I told him that each block costs 0.40 cents and that if we buy more than 50, transportation is free. We considered it a good deal, so we headed back out to the block shop. Going with my husband, I had the opportunity to better appreciate the landscape and the place, which I like because of the natural environment where I could see huge oak trees and green hills.
Cuando mi esposo llegó del trabajo, mientras almorzabamos, le conté que cada bloque cuesta 0.40 centavos de dólar y que si compramos más de 50, la transportación es gratis. Consideramos que es una buena oferta, así que salimos nuevamente hacia la bloquera. When we arrived at the blockhouse, we were greeted by the same man. He opened the door and we parked, since there was no truck. While my husband was talking to him, I was able to take a brief tour of the place. I saw a large shed where the blocks are manufactured. They use a machine to mix the materials, then place them in molds, and when they are ready, they transport them in a kind of cart to a drying area, until they are hard enough to be stored. I was impressed to see this whole process, as I had never had the opportunity to witness it before.
Al llegar a la bloquera, nos recibió el mismo señor. Nos abrió y aparcamos, ya que no había ninguna gandola. Mientras mi esposo hablaba con él, pude dar un breve recorrido por el lugar. Vi un gran galpón donde se fabrican los bloques. Utilizan una máquina para mezclar los materiales, luego los colocan en moldes y, cuando están listos, los transportan en una especie de carretón hacia un área de secado, hasta que tienen la dureza necesaria para ser almacenados. Me impresionó ver todo este proceso, ya que nunca había tenido la oportunidad de presenciarlo.
Once there, we were sent to their office, which was a little further away.

When we arrived at the office, we were greeted by a very kind girl. She explained to us that this office only distributes, stores and charges for all the materials you want to buy. At the production site, which is where we asked about, they only deliver to large quantities.
Al llegar a la oficina, nos recibió una muchacha muy gentil. Nos explicó que en esta oficina solo se distribuye, almacena y cobra por todos los materiales que quieres comprar. En el lugar de producción, que fue donde preguntamos, solo entregan a gandolas con grandes cantidades.
We were informed that we could reserve a space to store the blocks if we did not have enough space at home. Since we bought more than 50 blocks, we are entitled to have them delivered to our home on the day we go to work with them. We think this is an excellent idea, as we don't have to worry about where to put them for safekeeping.
Nos informaron que podíamos reservar un espacio para almacenar los bloques si no teníamos suficiente espacio en casa. Cómo compramos más de 50 bloques, tenemos derecho a que nos los entreguen en casa el día que vayamos a trabajar con ellos. Creemos que es una excelente idea, ya que así no tendremos que preocuparnos por dónde colocarlos para que estén bien resguardados.
We paid for our blocks and we're happy. Now we just need to schedule the day when the bricklayer can come to do the work and start our wall.
Pagamos por nuestros bloques y nos quedamos tranquilos. Ahora solo nos falta programar el día en que el albañil pueda venir a hacer el trabajo y comenzar nuestro muro.
I consider that in my case, since I did not have to go out to work today, the day was very fruitful, since we were able to square and solve one of the pending tasks we had.
