Another Year in Splinterverse: Recap and Expectation Towards the Future

Hello, my lovely Splinterverse friends.

I hope every one of you is having a great time during the holiday season with your friends and family. Our beloved game, Splinterlands, has celebrated the sixth anniversary of the game, which was a big deal. A huge number of blockchain games have been shut down or are having problems, but Splinterlands' great community and dedicated developer team are keeping things going. With each step taken by them taking the game towards big success, the development team made the right choice. In August 2021, I began my journey with Splinterlands. In July, I made an account and bought the Spellbook. In August, I started buying some cheaper cards to play the game.

I bought some cards after learning about the skills, game rules, and other things that made the game fun. I have been posting about Splinterland's thoughts since mid-2022 as initially I did not know about the blogging area of the Hive Blockchain, and now I write at least two blogs on my journey with Splinterlands as my entry to their weekly challenges. Today, I am going to write this blog as ' Splinterlands Community Engagement Challenge ' on the theme ' A Year in Review and a Glimpse Into the Future '. Though I have been writing about these important things from the very beginning, today I am going to write about my 2024's main focus and goals with a glimpse of my next year's plan, which will give you some info to make your own plan and strategies for the coming year.

Making my Summoners to the max level
The first and most important thing I did in 2024 was to make sure that all of my summoners were to the maximum level. To me, this makes sense since summoners are the building blocks of every deck in Splinterlands. I now have 3 summoners at the max level: Life, Earth, and Dragon. Recently, I have sold my GF water summoner of level 6 and am waiting to purchase the max level, and in the meantime, I rent it to play. These splinters give me options and freedom in the battle because I can use them in different ways. With so many reward cards already maxed out, my Life, Water, Earth, Neutral, and Dragon decks let me play fairly, so I can use these max summoners almost all the battle.

Maxing Out Monsters
After summoners, monsters are the main driving force for a battle, and without solid team members, no battle can be won. So, I have focused on the monsters after my summoners were maxed out. But this is an ocean of monsters; it was quite difficult to choose which one to max out first as I can not afford a ton of money to max out all the monsters as I have lost my 90% values of many cards and CL cards that I obtained from the market by purchases and from the CL packs. So, now I ma very careful about the strategy to build up my decks. Initially, I dived into several categories according to their use cases and frequency of using them in the battle and then listed out the cheapest cards for purchasing.

Dragon cards are also some of the best cards in the game, and I also use them so frequently. They let me mix Dragon cards with any other kind of splinters. I can use other splinters in new ways to make my deck better if I max out my Dragon summoners. After dragons, I maxed out the Neutral cards, which are the most useful. So, I have chosen them as the next priority to max out my decks. After that, I started maxing out monsters from the Life, Water, and Life teams to make a solid collection of decks. I'm putting in a lot of work to get these up there so that all of my decks can do everything they can. Now that these three are topped out, I'm ready to fight monsters at high levels that are bigger and have better skills.

Focusing on Rebellion reward cards

The third thing that I did that I am paying great attention to was Rebellion reward cards. This is what I'm most interested in right now. Grabbing more and more of these cards is the most important strategy because these Rebellion Rewards Cards can be used longer in the Modern battle format that I am playing right now. You can get these cards as a reward for regularly fighting with the glint token. They are very strong in fight because they have special abilities and stats that make them stand out. I want all of my Rebellion cards to be at least gold level as part of my overall plan, and I have already max them to the gold league, especially since the commons are done, rare is 50% done, and Epic and Legendary need too much time for me to do so. With these Rebellion reward cards, my deck is stronger and more varied, and I can't wait to level them up even more.

My plans for the future with Splinterlands
The game evolves daily, so I have to stay up to date with it and play it regularly to ensure the best utilization of my cards. In the next year, I will consider the following concerns to make my Splinterlands journey more effective. I will continue my previous focus, which I discussed in the upper section. I will add the following steps to my Splinterlands journey.

  • My first target is not to miss a single energy. This year, my energy level was full most of the time, and I could hardly manage time to play the game. But I would like to play as fast as possible to make sure the energy level remains empty most of the time.

  • The second thing that I want to implement is the proper utilization of renting cards, as high-level monsters are so cheap compared to the CL cards. This can make my decks stronger and help me increase my win ratio.

  • I have stopped focusing on my Land, so I will make the best use of my only EPIC Land plot to grab some extra rewards.

  • I didn't buy most of the rebellion cards as the price is still very high, but it will go down in the future, so I am planning to grab the most useful ones in the coming year.

  • Finally, I am going to accumulate the rewards from my Splinterlands blogging challenge to buy the next edition card packs; I have a lot of time on my hands to prepare for that. It will be my year long plan for the next year.

I hope you find some useful information in the post that will add more fun to your Splinterlands journey. If you have any questions, you can ask me in the comments. I will try to answer them as much as I can. Thanks a lot for your time and attention. I will catch you at the next one.
Have a great day!
