Greetings my dear fellows in the Hive Universe!
I was searching for the Meteoric Rain in the sky as I read the news that there will be a meteoric rain in the sky which can be explored with the naked eye. Though I have seen meteors in the sky several times in my early life when I lived in the village as that time I often stayed lying in the yard for hours as there was extremely hot in the summer season and we had a lot of load shedding during that time. So, the only way to keep us comfort to lie outside with the natural cold air in the outside of our rooms.
Times changed, the situation evolved and currently, I have no experience in exploring the sky which is really a beauty of nature. And if you have a clear sky then it can be a great pleasure. If I ask you when did you explore the stars in the sky last time? I think most of us will answer they can't remember when it was! That is true for me also, our busy and unhealthy lifestyle is just destroying us internally but we can't realize that.
From Wikipedia and other discussions on social sites, I have come to know that the Geminids are a prolific meteor shower with 3200 Phaethon in the parent body which makes this shower, along with the Quadrantids, the only major meteor shower not originating from a comet. The meteors from this shower are slow, they can be seen in December and usually peak around December 4–16, with the date of highest intensity being the morning of December 13-14.
As we are having great weather in Beijing with a crystal clear sky, I can see a ton of stars nowadays with eh brightest moon of recent times as I walk around my living area. I found it brighter than the street lamps here and really the memory of village life came as we often played different games on such moonlit nights when living in the village. Though could not find the meteor shower for searching spending more than half an hour in the cold, I was happy to spend precious time with the moonlit surroundings.
I tried taking photos of the moon with different styles and locations of the area and the naked benches of the trees make the views excellent as you can feel how romantic the surrounding was. There are thousands of songs, poems, and verses on reflections of the romanticism of a moonlit night and I have memorized paragraphs on moonlit nights in my school life. But I can assure you that with such a biting cold, I feel those beautiful lines are completely meaningless here as there is no romanticism in such a biting cold.
As I failed yesterday, I will try to find the meteoric shower today to explore that eve which is really a great thing to experience. In many movies, it has been shown that during the meteoric shower or comet falling time, all our wishes are granted though I don't believe that but if you like the event it would be a great experience in your life.
