Visiting The Memorial Park of the Forth World Conference of Women

in #hive-16377210 days ago

I often wonder about urban planning in Beijing, and I am really surprised about their effort and achievements so far. Recently, one of their achievement in cleaning the Beijing air got recognition as they did a fantastic job of keeping the Beijing air so clean even this winter; this winter, I am experiencing the healthiest air in my 5 years living in Beijing. My country's government is asking for help from China to clean the air of Dhaka City, which is always in the top 5 among the most polluted air index in the world. However, today I am going to tell my travel story to a unique park in Huairou city, which is named 'World Women's Conference Memorial Park,' which was built on the occasion of 'The Fourth World Conference on Women, 4-15 September 1995, Beijing, China.'

I was a little bit curious about the park's name, and I found the name on an online portal(trip.com), but not enough information. But later, I found the news from the United Nations portal about the conference that was held in Beijing in 1995. It is quite interesting, and this park is now a beautiful place of exploration for the Huairou urban people as it is located very close to the city center. The park is located on the western bank of the Huaihe River, just opposite side of Huairou City. The surrounding view of the park is beautiful, and the natural beauty of the park is remarkable, though the total area of the park is much smaller than most of the parks in the Beijing Municipal. But the historical value of the park is worthy of visiting the park.

United Nation

The entry was with a great yard with a monument in the middle. I don't know what that means, but it is the logo of the women's department of the United Nations, and Beijing is the location of the conference, according to my thinking about it. There are some other kinds of structures on the left side of the entry point, and the whole park was on the left side, as the right side was a residential area from the main entry point.

Just after the main monument, which is the tallest one here, the background is a white marble stone wall inscribed with hundreds of art that represent some of the social actions and values to spread positivity in society.

You can notice that the whole art contains only women characters and reflects their role in building a nation from the birth of a child to running the society. Their contribution to society is represented in this long art.

As I have told ready, the whole park is just by the Huaihe River, which is written as a river in maps, but in practice, it is not like the river that we usually experience that is quite deep and the water flow is from some glaciers or huge lake. But this river is not deep at all as it is artificially created, in my thought, and currently, it has lost its significant depth as the water flow in this river is really negligible when we compare it with a real river.

The re-dredging is carried out this winter to improve the river, as the dept has been significantly lost. Also, the surrounding scenario was missing this river water, which could have added significant beauty to the park, as it is usually supposed to. Still, the park is quite impressive with its location and some beautiful structural variations in the park area.

I hope the park's renovation will be completed very soon, before the coming spring, making it an amazing place to visit. I didn't notice such a beautiful park just near the city as I used the map, which is operated in a completely Chinese language, and I couldn't afford to know so many details there.

After all, my dull winter is having some exploration when I don't go outside too much due to the cold winter and smaller days that make it hard to travel a long distance in nature. Hopefully coming spring will bring more colors to my exploration.

I hope you like my photos of the beautiful park that was constructed in memory of the World Women's Conference near the Huairou City Center, where I am currently living. It was an amazing experience to experience such a tiny and tidy beautiful park in the winter in Huairou city, to discover different diversions of beauty, and to enjoy my Beijing life! If you have any questions, please feel free to let me know in the comments, and I will try my best to answer them.

Thanks a lot for your time and attention. I will catch up with you at the next one.
Wish you a great day!

Dear @tanzil2024 !
Hassan!
World Women's Conference Memorial Park is a great place!
I admire your talent for discovering beautiful scenery!

By the way, Do you think China can clean up Dhaka's air pollution?
Where I live, we suffer from air pollution blowing in from Beijing, China.😅

I think we can adopt the measures that implemented in Beijing. I can feel the change here and I hope the air quality will improve in Dhaka.

In World Women's Conference Memorial Park, I hope you enjoyed well. Have a great day! 🍀

Yeah, it was a great day spent there. Thanks for your comment.

Thanks!
