early morning at the port
Good morning and have a great day
Today I will share a few shots taken on walks around the port,
I do enjoy the port as one of the spots I go to here in New Bedford often I will go there on a day when after looking at the weather and radar maps I am not expecting much color as the sunrises, so instead of heading to a beach for the sunrise I head to the port, I find it so interesting checking out all the commercial fishing boats and the details on them.
Its funny I have never been a boat person, or into fishing for that matter, some of my family were and they tried getting me into fishing, now I did then and still do now love being by the water, but I guess I could say I am a hyper person and like to keep moving, standing in one spot waiting for a fish to bite just wasnt for me, but I do see how it can be relaxing for some.
Now starting with this shot of what I believe is a little tug boat, well little in size but they are so powerful when you see them towing large ships or pushing along well loaded barges

now I did say I nmostly go there when not expecting much color at sunrise, well sometimes I get it wrong and am lucky enough to see some nice color sinthe sky when at the port such as in this next shot looking over a few fishing boats

now i do love visiting the port on foggy mornings, see the boats semi covered or hiden in fog gives what I think is a cool surreal feel
