🇪🇸 ~ Estoy algo triste por no haber compartido este progreso el día lunes, me esfuerzo en ser constante con esta meta pero el tiempo se me pasa demasiado rápido 😷 🐌 💦
Me hubiera gustado también elaborar al menos 6 mini bordados para esta tercera actualización, pero solo alcance a elaborar 4; aún así estoy satisfecha porque quiero empezar a hacer personajes pequeñitos como animales, principalmente de Sanrio, y aunque parecen simples me toma aproximadamente 1 hora o 1 hora y media hacer cada uno.

I would have also liked to make at least 6 mini embroideries for this third update, but I only managed to make 4; even so I am satisfied because I want to start making small characters like animals, mainly from Sanrio, and although they look simple it takes me about 1 hour or 1 hour and a half to make each one.
Tema aparte, estoy muy contenta por haber hecho esta selección por puro gusto sin seguir un patrón temático específico, las próximas tandas de bordado me encantaría que fueran más surtidas en formas, es decir amo a los personajes de Sanrio pero no tengo intención de que sean los protagonistas de este proyecto.
Por ejemplo el protagonista de esta actualización para mi es el báculo-llave mágico de Sakura Kinomoto de la serie "Card Captor Sakura" de la que soy fan, los años pasan pero mi amor por esta obra es infinito por lo que significó para mi durante mi adolescencia.
As an aside, I am very happy to have made this selection just for fun without following a specific thematic pattern, the next embroidery batches I would love to be more assorted in shapes, that is I love Sanrio characters but I don't intend to make them the main characters of this project.
For example the protagonist of this update for me is the magic staff-key of Sakura Kinomoto of the series “Card Captor Sakura” of which I am a fan, the years pass but my love for this work is infinite for what it meant to me during my adolescence.
✦ This update starts with one of the figures that I wanted to embroider the most, although I miscalculated the length of the etamine and had to make the figure shorter ✦
✦ I also wanted to embroider something with at least two shades of pink, I find that rounded shapes like this My Melody look better as appliqués for bags or clothing ✦
✦ I LOVE THIS BUNNY, it's round and precious and coffee with milk color, although I think I should have used a less saturated shade of cream for the filling of the figure ✦
✦ And another toad because I have many toads in my reference folder and it is impossible not to love them, you will see many little toads soon ✦
Casi todos los bordé durante la noche que es cuando el ritmo del día se va desacelerando y me preparo para ir a dormir, también por eso avanzo lento, estoy tratando de dormir mas temprano por mi salud, aunque la tentación de desvelarme bordando mientras veo una de las tantas series de anime que tengo pendientes es una opción tentadora.
I embroider almost all of them during the night, which is when the rhythm of the day slows down and I get ready to go to sleep, that's also why I'm making slow progress, I'm trying to sleep earlier for my health, although the temptation of staying up late embroidering while watching one of the many anime series I have pending is a tempting option.

¿Sabes qué es difícil?, permitirse hacer las cosas relajadamente sin que te importe si es perfecto o no.
Es difícil, muy difícil permitirse ser imperfecta cuando toda la vida te has esforzado al 100% porque todo lo que hagas no sea menos que excelente.
Este ejercicio de bordar sin retroceder me esta ayudando a superar y espero que próximamente a mitigar estos impulsos de que todo tiene que ser milimétricamente perfecto "porque si no, no sirve".
Mucho se habla de crear disciplina para ser excelentes pero yo necesito ponerle disciplina al ejercicio de crear y permitir que ese proceso suceda hasta su conclusión tal cuál se desarrollen las cosas en el camino, a pesar de los pequeños desperfectos, y especialmente si es un pasatiempo.
Porque es triste auto-imponerte un nivel elevado de calidad en algo que se supone haces para relajarte o por diversión.
Para los temas de trabajo, compromisos o concursos creo que siempre seré esa persona que hace todo con lupa, pero mientras tanto creo que escogí bien empezando a permitirme ser imperfecta con este proyecto grande dividido en muchos proyectos pequeñitos.
¿Te ha pasado?, ¿el impulso por alcanzar la perfección, saboteando las cosas que haces que se suponen son para divertirte?.
You know what's hard is to allow yourself to do things in a relaxed way without caring if it's perfect or not?.
It's hard, very hard to allow yourself to be imperfect when all your life you have been striving 100% for everything you do to be no less than excellent.
This exercise of embroidering without backing down is helping me to overcome and hopefully soon mitigate these impulses that everything has to be millimetrically perfect “because if not, it's no good”.
There is a lot of talk about creating discipline to be excellent but I need to put discipline in the exercise of creating and allow that process to happen until its conclusion as things develop along the way, despite the small flaws, and especially if it is a hobby.
Because it's sad to self-impose a high standard of quality on something you're supposed to do for relaxation or fun.
For work issues, commitments or contests I think I will always be that person who does everything with a magnifying glass, but in the meantime I think I made the right choice by starting to allow myself to be imperfect with this big project divided into many tiny projects.
