Saturday has rolled around again, it always seems to come so fast! I hope you are all enjoying your weekend so far. It's supposed to be a warm, sunny afternoon here so I plan on taking advantage to spend some time outdoors. That means throwing on some sunblock which I rarely used when I was younger, because I was young and immortal (and stupid.) Funny how after the age of forty you start to pay for the follies of your youth...

In the cryptocurrency world Bitcoin is continuing to flirt with that $100,000 psychological barrier. I keep hoping to see us pierce through into some really true highs, and I'm still crossing my fingers. Hive has seen some nice sustained price action as well which has been long overdue. I hope we can keep it alive as well!

Being Saturday once again, I will be doing a Saturday Savers post. I joined the community earlier this year to help me focus on achieving more of my goals here in Hive. I've always had a savings plan in my life offline, and it has rewarded me well over the years. Now that I've incorporated that online as well I'm finding that I'm achieving more of my goals. Prior to joining the community my goals were honestly nebulous at best. It makes a huge difference when you set those goals in concrete and check your progress on a weekly basis.

One nice perk of participating in Saturday Savers is that occasionally you win a bonus prize or two just for participating. This last week I was lucky enough to win one EDS and this week one EDSMM. Those are both prizes that I love, and greatly appreciate, thank you Saturday Savers community!

Time to jump into last week's progress...

Hive Power

I had a decent week once again in this area. I started the week with 5,697 HP. I now have 5,808 HP, so I gained 111 HP on the week! Building HP really does give you more than just voting power, but a voice here on Hive as well. I should surpass 6,000 HP in a couple of weeks which isn't bad since my initial goal was to hit 5,000 HP for the year!

PIMP

This was my secondary goal for the year, I wanted to reach 50,000 staked by the year's end. It looks like it's just not going to happen this year. I have just over 32,000 staked at the moment. Prices surged on this one several months back making it harder to pick up at good prices. There is always next year, I still want to make it to at least 50,000 and eventually 100,000. It's the only token here on Hive that is backed by physical silver in the PIMP vault, so it will always have value!

Leo

This was a late in the year addition to reach 1,500 staked LEO. I then pushed the goal to 2,000 staked LEO after achieving the first goal and subsequently exceeded the second as well. I currently have 2,073 total LEO and haven't set a new goal on this year, but will definitely setting some new ones for the coming year.

HSBI

I have destroyed this goal this year, I wanted to hit 2,000 units and now I'm sitting on 3,217. I think I can say it was soundly beaten. It does feel great to have stacked up enough HSBI to be a whale in this category!

I'm up 30 units on the week, and like I always like to say you can never have too many of these. They are the gift that keeps on giving!

Surprise HSBI Giveaway

That last thought gives me an idea, there was once a movie that used a similar quote. So just for fun, the first person who can answer which movie it came from and the character who said the line will win two HSBI units! So those who have read this far get a surprise bonus. Back to HSBI...

Just over a year ago I had a grand total of 11 HSBI and I really didn't even understand well what they were. That prompted me to do some research and figure out what HSBI does to help you out in growing your Hive account. Since that time I have done giveaways on my posts and even have one weekly post dedicated to give out HSBI. I also began to sponsor other initiatives like Three Tune Tuesday, Nineties Friday, and Shadow Hunters which also really grew my HSBI numbers. You can never have too many of these, for those unfamiliar with the program keep reading below!

For those of you new to Hive or unfamiliar with the HSBI program I have some guides to help you out. When I started blogging I had no clue what they were and had to search around until I stumbled on a post that explained it to me. That's why I include this every week to help someone out if they still don't understand the program.

SIM

I love SIM token! By just holding it you receive liquid Hive daily dividends, and who doesn't like free Hive? I continue to hold just over one million and plan to increase to two million in the near future. It's a great way to earn passively, but it is inflationary so you could lose on your principal investment. Plus if you play to game dCity you can also earn SIM daily as well.

DUO

Time for me to shill my favorite project, DUO token. Along with @bitcoinman and @bulliontools we created the DUO token to help fill voids in the Hive community. The purpose of the token is to accumulate enough Hive Power to be able to use a portion to support new onboards and help retain them through encouragement and with curations. We currently have more than 33,960 HP in the curation account, and are starting to make our first onboarding efforts.

We have a new guest author program allowing Hive members to earn by posting original content on the duo-curator account. Please see our latest duo-curator posts for rules and information on how to participate.

DUO token holders receive by far the greatest benefits. Once you have 200 staked tokens you can receive a daily curation on your quality posts and receive daily liquid Hive dividends. Once you stake more than 500 DUO you also can use the DUO tip call to tip someone with some DUO, and in return you get the same amount of DUO in your account. It pays to tip others with DUO!

I currently have over 1,100 of these and will be continuing to purchase them. Once this tranche of tokens sells out the price will jump from one Hive to 1.5 Hive each. My advice is to buy in early while they are less expensive! Plus you will make money as soon as this batch sells out due to the price increase! All Hive from token purchases in locked into Hive Power and will never be powered down.

Other Tokens

Again no big changes here, I am continuing to collect DBOND and DAB. I have both my DBONDs and DABs staked, so the staked DBOND produces more DAB, and the staked DAB produces more DBOND. So they are slowly growing. I still want to increase my EDS holding to over 200, but that will be a goal for the next year, I'm still have just over 100 and they are a little expensive. I did win one recently from Saturday Savers, thank you!

Silver

Silver has been down a little this week, but still up considerably from this time last year. It's just a matter of time until we will see it testing all time highs once again. Inflation continues to devalue fiat and precious metals will always have value, so they are a great way to build wealth just as they always have been. I personally will continue to buy them!

Each week I like to share some interesting ways you can invest in silver. There are always coins and bars that you can purchase, but I look for something fun and different for this feature every week. Today is no exception, so here we go! From Scottsdale Mint

Because it's the holiday season I thought I might share an appropriately themed silver product. Scottsdale Mint has produced this beautiful snowflake silver round and is for sale at just about $5 over the spot price of silver. It's a beautiful work of art as is everything that they produce. Just look at all of the detailing done on the reverse of the round. I would love to pick up one of these this year!

DUO token

This is a token from the Hive Onboarding Committee (HOC). It offers curation, dividends, and a tipping bot for those who stake enough tokens. The overall purpose of the token is to stack enough HP to be able to assist the HOC in onboarding and retaining new members to Hive.
