It's Sunday again which mean it's time for another giveaway. I've been doing this initiative now for thirty-four weeks now, and it sure doesn't seem like it. I'm glad you all are enjoying it, and as long as you do I will keep this Sunday staple running.
This past week I posed the question: "What is your favorite ghoul or monster?" It was perfect for Halloween which we just celebrated on Thursday. Now for the fun part! I'll go over some of your choices, I would like to highlight them all but it would make this post way too long! First off we have the most popular pick, Dracula and/or vampires.
Dracula and Vampires
wegotthiscovered.com
screenrant.com
Dracula was a popular pick but I included all of the vampire picks into this one. Thanks to @coolmidwestguy , @hatdogsensei , @logen9f , @ronnie10 , @snowboarderpete , @shiftrox and @lumpiadobo for your answers. I think everyone is familiar with these mythical creatures and probably has seen a vampire movie or two. Dracula was originally published by Bram Stoker in 1897. It was loosely based off of Vlad III (often called the Impaler.) His reputation for cruelty were taken from texts of his enemies so much of it may have been greatly exaggerated. From the book Dracula came the inspiration for vampire tales and movies to this very day.
The pictures above come from the movie Renfield starring Nicolas Cage as Dracula, he did a good job and it's worth watching. The Brides of Dracula came for the movie Van Helsing , another great vampire movie!
Werewolf
nerdburglars.net
This pick came from @arc7icwolf @silvertop and @kungfukid . Werewolf legends have been around for nearly a thousand years, but Hollywood has made them more popular than ever. Legends likely came from people suffering from hypertrichosis (lots and lots of extra body hair) but it created a legendary creature. Great pick by all three of you, thanks!
Frankenstein's Monster
cbr.com
Frankenstein was published in 1818 by Mary Shelley depicting a young Dr. Frankenstein attempting to reanimate the dead. He of course succeeds creating Frankenstein's Monster. There have been more movies than I can count about variations of this story, but a true classic and a great pick. Thanks @mcoinz79 for this pick!
Pinhead from Hellraiser
looper.com
My good friend @summertooth picked Pinhead from the movie series Hellraiser. It would be really creepy to run into a guy with pins sticking out all over his head. For some classic horror you should watch the original Hellraiser!
Ghosts
sciencenewsforstudents.org
Ghosts have been scaring people for as long as time has been recorded. Some people are believers and other are skeptics. I personally am a believer from personal experiences I've had that removed my skepticism. I can't explain what they are, or if they are former people who died, or something different altogether that we don't have the technology to understand. But they can be very spooky!
@tengolotodo even mentioned the caoineag which is a Scottish ghost or spirit that foretells of coming death. Often heard near bodies of water. Interesting legend though and worth looking up!
Thanks to @olaf.gui @dewabrata and @tengolotodo for this pick!
And last but definitely not least!
The Bloody Raven
This comes from my good friend @kerrislravenhill , and it's awesome! Not only do I give you the picture she provided but the screenshot of the details! And just because it so awesome I sent her off some bonus HSBI!
And of course we have a honorable mention for @enginewitty and his pick of Elvira!

Thank you to all of my participants this week!
This weeks entry question
I know Halloween is over but, do you believe in ghosts?
The Giveaway
I will be giving out two prizes of five (5) HSBI. Third prize will be 2 DUO tokens, the token I recently launched with @bulliontools and @bitcoinman . It offers those who stake sufficient tokens daily curation on quality posts, dividends, and a tipping bot. It also helps to onboard and retain new Hive members. At the end of the post there is a link to the white paper and where to purchase the tokens. There will also be one legendary Splinterlands card as a fourth prize. If you don't play Splinterlands just let me know and I'll send you an HSBI instead. To participate you need a reputation level of at least 25 and bots cannot win. And please one entry per person to make it fair to everyone.
If you have more questions about DUO feel free to ask, it's growth is exceeding all of our expectations!
Legendary Splinterlands card up for grabs this next week:
A level 1 Void Dragon, this one is a great card!

How to Enter
Every week this will change. I'm looking for engagement rather than just saying "I am in". There is no need to upvote or re-blog, although if you choose to do so I would appreciate it. This week's question is an easy one:
I know Halloween is over but, do you believe in ghosts? And why?
HSBI
If you are unfamiliar with the prize you can learn more here:

Choosing the Winners
All valid entries will be placed on the Wheel of Names and I will spin it four times. The first prize will be 5 HSBI units. The second prize will be another 5 HSBI units. And the third prize will be two DUO tokens. Fourth prize is a legendary Splinterlands card or one HSBI unit! And since I am spinning the same wheel four times in a row it is theoretically possible for the same person to win all four prizes! Although I have yet to see it happen, maybe this week?
Deadline
Please note I am changing it to earlier on Sunday to make it easier on me if I'm headed out for the day
One week from today which will be Sunday November 10, 2024 at 8 A.M. California Pacific Time.
