It's almost hard to believe it's Sunday again, but the calendar doesn't lie! It's kind of an odd day here, it's a little cool outside and rainy. Normally I like to enjoy coffee in the backyard in the mornings, but not today. I have been spoiled living in southern California with so much nice weather most of the year. But every now and again it gets cold and rainy here too!
Just like every other Sunday, today I'll be doing my giveaway post. This next week will be 46 weeks since I started this little project, coming up on a year pretty quickly. And this last week I had the biggest number of participants that I've ever had, a grand total of 44 entries! Because I had so many entries I decided to add on a few bonus prizes today to celebrate, you'll see those after the first four spin results.
First let's see what fruits won out as the most popular as that was the entry question last week! I know a couple of you picked durian, I'm sad to say it didn't win.
Mango
foodprint.org
I do believe this was by far the winner! After living in the Caribbean for many years I also love mango and even had a tree in my backyard. I always picked them just shy of ripe so they were a little sour, because I love sour! It is a great tasting fruit with several varieties that all are just a little different tasting. This was picked by: @helicreamarket , @jpatrick28 , @henruc , @ronnie10 , @vcclothing , @lanzjoseg , @monsterbuster , @cositav , @dewabrata and @logen9f . Thank you all for participating!
Durian
supertravelr.com
I really was surprised at how well durian did in this contest. It is a strong smelling and flavored fruit that grows in the tropics. You either love it or absolutely detest it, and I happen to fall in the latter category. I've tried it a few times but just can't take the flavor. With four people picking this one it came in tied for second place, thanks @blitzzzz , @vaynard86 , @ekavieka and @dewabrata for this great choice (even if I hate it!)
Pineapple (piña)
icirnigeria.org
Having lived in the tropics for years I have to admit this is among my favorites as well. There really is nothing like getting one straight from the farm, but in most places you have to depend on stores. Even California is too cold to grow them. Just a curious factoid, there was a show on several years ago called "Psych" about a guy who pretends to be a psychic detective. You can see it these days on Peacock, but in every episode they had a pineapple. It's a funny show if you missed it.
Thanks for the great choice @doombot75 , @hjrrodriguez , @oadissin and @edreisito .
Strawberry
wallsdesk.com
And the rounding out the tie for second place we had strawberries! I've always loved these, just so tasty and versatile. One of the truly wonderful things about living in southern California is you can find fresh year round. Thanks for your favorite @ladymisa , @akiraymd , @whywhy and @florakese .
Oranges
bhg.com
So many different types of oranges and they all taste great! I think Cara Cara are my current favorites, probably because they're in season right now. Thanks for the excellent choice of citrus fruit @ravenmus1c , @deeanndmathews and @tortangkahoy !
Banana
infoescola.com
There are so many different types of bananas and all of them are really good. There is a durian in the picture above, definitely not a banana type! I liked this picture because it show several varieties of the fruit. I've always love the red one the best, but they're all really good. This was picked by: @kungfukid , @borniet and @ekavieka , thanks guys!
Apples
rd.com
Another fruit with just so many varieties from extra sour to extremely sweet. I've always preferred the sour ones myself, whereas @silvertop chose the honey crisp. He lives in Washington state that is just about the apple capital of the world. So he knows his apples well! These were also picked by @olaf.gui and @hatdogsensei . Thanks guys!
Watermelon (Sandía)
housedigest.com
Another great tasting option that makes summer fun, good old watermelon. I never used to like it as a kid, but living in South America I became a fan. In summer could get them straight of the farm and they were so good. Of course it's winter in the north hemisphere and right now it's summer in South America! Thanks for choosing an awesome melon @angeluxx , @geneeverett and @dkid14 !
I wish I had time to add the rest, but I have to run errands this afternoon. Other favorites were peaches by @coinjoe and @coolmidwestguy . Grapes were the pick by both @moonthumb and @lumpiadobo . Raspberry was chosen by @ganjafarmer and @iamthemastermind . Kiwi was the preference of @sylmarill and @bitandi . Limes from my friend @gwajnberg , pomegranate by @rainbowdashh4l , and cherries by @melinda010100 . Thank you everyone for participating!
This week's entry question:
I really need to stop writing these questions right before I head to lunch...
Now for today's entry question: What is your favorite type of cheese?
I may have asked this same one some time back, but it's been awhile and we have some new participants. So why not? If you are vegan or lactose intolerant, do you have a cheese alternative that you like?
The Giveaway
I will be giving out two prizes of five (5) HSBI. Third prize will be 2 DUO tokens, the token I recently launched with @bulliontools and @bitcoinman . It offers those who stake sufficient tokens daily curation on quality posts, dividends, and a tipping bot. It also helps to onboard and retain new Hive members. At the end of the post there is a link to the white paper and where to purchase the tokens. Fourth prize is 100 BBH tokens. To participate you need a reputation level of at least 25 and bots cannot win. And please one entry per person to make it fair to everyone.
If you would like to be placed on a weekly reminder list just let me know and I'll make sure you get tagged each week.

How to Enter
Every week this will change. I'm looking for engagement rather than just saying "I am in". There is no need to upvote or re-blog, although if you choose to do so I would appreciate it. This week's question should be fun:
What is your favorite type of cheese?
I may have asked this same one some time back, but it's been awhile and we have some new participants. So why not? If you are vegan or lactose intolerant, do you have a cheese alternative that you like?

Choosing the Winners
All valid entries will be placed on the Wheel of Names and I will spin it four times. The first prize will be 5 HSBI units. The second prize will be another 5 HSBI units. Third prize will be two DUO tokens. Fourth prize will be 100 BBH tokens. And since I am spinning the same wheel four times in a row it is theoretically possible for the same person to win all four prizes! Although I have yet to see it happen, maybe this week?
