In this episode, we will see the start of a new struggle. Soon after coming from a nice father-son short trip, John will face something that may reveal his true identity. This will be an interesting phase as this will decide the fate of his family and where the future of John Marston lies. Will he turn to his past deeds again or will he embrace the change? A question that soon will be answered.
John hitches the horse and tells Jack to get inside the home.
As John is about to get back to his daily farm chores, he hears a bullet firing from the back of the horse stable.
A man pointing the gun at a helper asks about the man who beat the guys on this ranch a few days ago. Backstory - John on his first day had a conflict with two guys while making the delivery to the ranch manager.
Helper tries to talk out the situation as he does not want to get John in trouble with these guys.
However, John walks into the middle and asks the man about the problem and why he is searching for John.
The guy with the man identifies John. The gunslinger starts threatening John to follow the orders and not be involved with the gang living on the other side of the stream.
As the gunman tries to reach his revolver, John pushes him away aggressively.
Soon a fight breaks out between them. John forgets that he has to maintain the identity of a common man.
He starts throwing punches as the gunman starts bad-mouthing about John and his wife. This pisses off John and he goes all in.
He starts making heavy damage to the gunman in an attempt to kill him.
But Abigail comes in between and controls John. She makes him realize that they must stay away from the local gang fights. John stops punching his face and gets away.
The gunman again mouths Abigail to which John gets ready to blow more punches on him. Abigail grabs John.
The gunman warns John that he will return and take revenge for this.
John realizes him the punches he did to his face and tells him to come again if he needs more.
John leaves him with the warning to not be seen closer to this rance or else he will not go as easy as this time.
The gunman tells him to remember this day as he soon will come to meet him again and will take away Abigail. He makes remarks that such a beautiful woman doesn't deserve a coward like John.
John gets back to the home and changes his clothes. He looks pissed off about those remarks that the gunman made.
John is limited due to Abigail and he wants to respect the concern of Abigail and to stay as low as possible.
The owner arrives and asks John about the chaos that happened on the farm last day. John reports the event to him. The owner tells him to do good damage if in case the gunman returns. This motivates and influences John to fight.
John returns to the home and looks desperate for a fight. He says that he doesn't want to move around like a weak man. A heated debate between Abigail and John starts to take place.
