One of the places not to be missed on the beautiful island of São Miguel in the Azores, right in the heart of maximum nature and its splendor
For me, one of the highlights of my 5 day visit to the Island, I took a plane leaving Porto in Portugal at around 6am and in 2 and a half hours I arrived in the Azores, the journey was a little bumpy due to the weather conditions , but I will tell you at another time.
I went with Raynair and spent around 70 eur on the trip (round trip)
After arriving and picking up the rental car, and having a hearty breakfast I put the "car on the way" the lagoon of the 7 cities is about 40 minutes from the airport and is a must-see!!
The soul of the Azores and in the center of nature is one of the most fascinating places I have ever visited, the lake is surrounded by green mountains and shrouded in legends, the place is not only a natural wonder but also a haven of tranquility and peace where we can simply putting our “ideas in place” while breathing nature.
The experience goes far beyond visiting the beauty of the place and total immersion in nature, a moment of personal connection in the serenity of the environment .
The choice of location was simple, highlighting the view in a simple search for things to visit there, and was motivated by this research when planning the trip to the Azores .
The place is easily accessible by car and the entire route can be done easily even with reduced mobility, taking the time necessary to breathe in the purity of the place.
Furthermore, the idea of escaping the fast pace of everyday life and spending a day in such an incredible setting awakens all of our senses .
The route to the site is paved and the road is a bit winding, but every corner reveals impressive views of the mountains and slopes full of vegetation.
Suddenly the panorama opens up and we see 2 huge lagoons (one blue and one green) but I only managed to check the color days later, on the first day it was a little cloudy and only had a greenish tone.
According to legend, the 2 lakes that intersect were formed by a forbidden love, the story goes that there was a shepherd and a princess and as they were royalty they could never fall in love with the shepherd, not being able to live together the two cried for days, which they formed 2 waters (one green and the other blue) representing the color of both their eyes, this myth gives the place a certain mystery and melancholy, something I felt in the "water mirror" of the place .
That's all for today, I hope you like it
