But, that was then... now many public areas are better and very comfortable to relax just to unwind from the hustle and bustle of Jakarta or endless work and school assignments.
Like on that day when I was off work and looking for a comfortable place to unwind. I headed to Blok M, South Jakarta and headed to Ayodya Park. This was my first time going to Ayodya Park during the day. Usually, I go to this place more often at night after work.
Ayodya Park was once notoriously dark and became a slum in the area, however, after being redeveloped, this park has become very nice, comfortable and a favorite of many people. This park has been inaugurated since 2009 actually by the then governor, Fauzi Bowo.
The paths for pedestrians are certainly neat because they are all covered with paving blocks, while the seats are formed into stands on both sides. When I was there it happened to be a day after the rain, so the weather here was very serene. Although some parts of the seats were covered, there were still other parts that were dry.
I wandered around for a while because the green area here is very soothing. It turns out that instead of coming here at night, it's more comfortable to come during the day, anyway it's quiet in the afternoon so you don't have to fight for seats with other visitors.
In addition to the tribune-style seating on the inside of the circle, there are also iron seating models on the edge of this garden circle. There is also a toilet available. Unfortunately, the toilet cubicles provided are not too many, so maybe if you want to linger here it would be better if you are not in a state of urgent urination or defecation. Honestly, the toilets here are not very comfortable.
The pond in the middle of the park is also clean and the water does not smell. This proves that in terms of hygiene management, Ayodya Park is very good and of course the government budget is clearly well allocated. Ha ha ha.
After wandering around and relaxing for a while, I moved to another place not far from TAman Ayodya. I remembered there was an exhibition installation that I really wanted to go to.
Thank you for stopping by and reading my writing, next time let's share with many stories about other beautiful places. See you in the next post... happy traveling.
Hi, I am the child of the universe, I like to read books with various genres. I was born in the city of batik but can't draw batik yet. I want to be a novelist, but my works are only short poems that are included in anthology books.
