For books in local languages, I usually just visit Gramedia or the now defunct Gunung Agung store. As for books with international languages, Periplus is one of the alternatives for us book lovers.
Mallam, after I cleaned myself up at the hotel, I planned to go around the hotel while looking for food, fortunately, not far from my hotel there was a self-service Ranch Market that I could visit to buy groceries. I went in and looked around first before deciding what to buy. I really like the design of the Ranch Market here, even though it is only one floor, it looks quite complete.
One of the things that impressed me was the centre part of the roof that looked aesthetically pleasing. It's made of an intricate yet beautiful series of wooden timbers. I took a few pictures to look at when I returned to the hotel later.
However, what impressed me even more was that Rnach Market was also attached to the Periplus bookstore. Without hesitation, I went straight to the Periplus section and browsed through shelf after shelf. I found several books that I liked, such as one by Sally Rooney and several others. I wasn't in the middle of a book fair so I just looked around.
After that, I went out again to the food area and picked up some groceries that I needed. After I finished paying, I hurried home. It was already raining outside. Thank you for reading my writing. See you in my next article.
Hi, I am the child of the universe, I like to read books with various genres. I was born in the city of batik but can't draw batik yet. I want to be a novelist, but my works are only short poems that are included in anthology books.
