Speaking of friends and coffee, a while ago, I treated my friend to a cup of coffee. There was no big deal to this one, I just wanted to treat her because I share a sense of joy. Especially throughout the year, I often spend time with them. Let's just say that this is a small form of my gratitude towards her.
So, my friend and I stopped by a cafe in central Semarang. When I came to this cafe, the road was not too congested, so I felt comfortable, only the sky was cloudy. Long story short, I arrived at a cafe called LAIV.
LAIV CAFE WITH ZAZA
Since becoming friends in 2016, Zaza and I have always communicated well. Even though the distance between our homes is quite far. Or, sometimes we are hundreds of kilometres apart because I work outside the city. We sometimes meet about once every 3-4 months. However, for chat communication, we always exchange stories almost every day.
Laiv is a cafe with a contemporary interior design concept, and is divided into three rooms: an air-conditioned inside room, a non-Ac inside room reserved for smokers, and an outside room. I opted for the air-conditioned indoor room and chose to sit by the window. I sipped my coffee, while occasionally looking at the street in front of the café that seemed to be getting busier by the evening.
I ordered my usual Americano, and Zaza of course ordered his usual latte too. Zaza is now married, so she moved her domicile to the city where her husband lives. So, if it's usually me who goes out of town, this time it's Zaza's turn to move out of town. So, of course the distance between us is getting longer.
However, it's okay, for those of us who are adults, living a life of friendship does not have to always meet, the important thing is that we both continue to support each other if needed.
There was nothing special about the flavour of the iced americano I ordered. Just the usual cafe-style americano. But what was special about this day was meeting Zaza after a long time. We chatted until around 7pm, because the train that takes me back to Jakarta will depart at 9pm.
The usual conversation, updates about life, about how his adaptation in his new home, and others. It's always cool to listen to the lives of those closest to us. Actually, it's not only me who likes to drive Zaza, he also sometimes buys me coffee or other food. We fill each other up and love each other. Hopefully his new life is very pleasant. May we be overwhelmed by good things. That's the story of my meeting with Zaza and our small coffee event. Every cup of coffee always brings its own impression and story.
Hi, I am the child of the universe, I like to read books with various genres. I was born in the city of batik but can't draw batik yet. I want to be a novelist, but my works are only short poems that are included in anthology books.
