In a journey that does not go according to plan, it will lead us to new places and new experiences. As I once told you when I was about to go to Ijen Crater in Banyuwangi and was forced to make a U-turn due to an emergency crater situation. My three friends and I, who decided quickly to go to Bromo, finally got off the bus in Surabaya. However, Surabaya to Malang still had to be travelled about three hours by bus. So, since we arrived in Surabaya at midnight, while the bus only arrived around 4am, we had to rush to the nearest terminal and wait there until the first bus to Malang ran.
Then, the bus I travelled on earlier dropped us off near Bungurasih Terminal or Purabaya Terminal, and we headed there.
It was still early in the morning, and the terminal was very quiet. There were a few people who were still awake selling their wares, and a few potential passengers waiting for their buses like us.
After finding a place to sit, I wandered around so as not to get bored, after all I had slept a lot on the bus before, so I wasn't that sleepy.
Purabaya/Bungurasih Bus Station
I didn't get a chance to take a picture of the very front, as it was still dark. However, once inside the terminal, there was of course the long row of counters where people would queue to buy tickets for their fleet. The colour combination of white and phtalo blue was the choice for this area.
After the counters, there is a public area consisting of rows of ATM machines from various banks that make it easy for passengers to make transactions, or just take cash. On the sides, some food tenants are still open.
Then, for the main lobby in the form of seating and a spacious room with high ceilings. Here, the words ‘TERMINAL PURABAYA’ are clearly written in large letters. Underneath is a ticket exchange for online bookings. Here people can sit down, even around the grief there is comfortable seating in light blue.
Then to get to the second floor, visitors can use two ways, the escalator or the uphill walkway. I used the uphill walkway because the escalator was under repair. This area makes it easier for visitors carrying luggage, or for example, using a trolley. There is only a combination of white and yellow whose paint has started to fade. The lighting is well installed in the skylight. So, although quiet, this area is very nice and not spooky.
For the upstairs area, it's more about the rows of seats used for prospective passengers and the lines that are marked about the direction of the buses' departure.
What I like about this terminal is that the lanes are neat, the directions are very clear, and all the lighting works well. As for the public facilities, these are really well maintained. Even for cleanliness, I admire it. There was no rubbish strewn about, and the terminal did not smell.
I headed to line 1-16 which would lead to the bus to Malang.
That's about all I can say about this terminal in Surabaya. Clearly, I'm impressed that it's clean, tidy and well-managed. Since my bus had arrived, we got off and continued our journey to Malang, thank you for reading my review. Keep travelling and stay happy wherever you are. See you.

Hello, @titisnariyah
I agree with you,
In a journey that does not go according to plan, it will lead us to new places and new experiences
We can see many amazing architecture in the new places.
Thanks for sharing.
Hello, @sobatkelana thanks for stopping by and supports my work, keep travelling and find out beautiful things out there especially about architecture
It is a nice terminal, I find it tidy and very clean, nice to wait for the bus.
With your post I realized that the word terminal is the same in many languages, it is spelled the same and means “terminal”.
Yes, it's the same word. I agree it's very comfortable and clean, I also don't get too bored waiting here, especially since the air circulation is also working well
From the looks of it, this bus station is clean, organized, and well-maintained. These qualities are vital for the proper performance of transportation hubs for the smooth flow of passengers. Impressive and vibrant project @titisnariyah! ☺️
You agree with me, right? I travel a lot and maybe this is even quite well managed, I don't know how it would be during the day, but, looking at the lanes for people to get in and out, I believe it will still function optimally. Thanks for stopping by, btw, it's been a long time since we've greeted each other, I hope you're always in good health. cheers, @storiesoferne 🥳
I'm definitely impressed by the colorful accents of this bus terminal @titisnariyah! Additionally, its contemporary design oozes with functional aesthetics for the valuable passage of commuters. Cool! ☺️
Ah, yess.. the color for a building is not only to beautify it, right? sometimes certain colors can have a function to be 'easily recognized' or 'easily seen' like functioning as a sign. thank you for your support, @archmoments
The terminal looks clean and organized, it also has exchange offices that expedite the flow of travelers, it is a place with good lighting to move comfortably.
obviously. I also went around to make sure that the lighting was functioning optimally, even though I'm not a local government doing a field audit. LoL. But, I'm grateful because the public facility is well managed.
Thanks a lot for stopping by, dear @belkyscabrera
