WE 227: Nature and Art Galleries Are What I Often Associate With

...and then, I have nature and art and poetry, and if that is not enough, what is enough?
-Vincent Willem van Gogh-

Happy Weekend, Everyone! Humans and their various complexities. Some people love malls because they can see a lot of things, and the air-conditioning is cool because the sun is so strong outside, while others avoid malls because they feel like they are being put in a room with a lot of people at once. Some people love outdoor activities, while others prefer to stay at home. All is well and good in its own way. However, in this weekend challenge, I actually want to elaborate on two points. Choice 2 and choice 6. I hope I'm allowed.

Camping In The Woods With Open Sky View

In choice 2, if I'm asked Camping in the woods or holidaying in a city hotel? Of course I would go camping in the woods. I've been hiking since 2016, and I know why I love doing this activity that some people find so tiring. They just don't know that when you spend the night in an open space surrounded by forests and a night sky full of stars, it's amazing. One of the few things I do as a means of stress release. Seeing the view of nature, enjoying the fresh air, keeping our ears away from noise pollution, and keeping our lungs away from air pollution are good things to release serotonin and make our mood better. So, it is not wrong if psychology experts also recommend enjoying nature as a good healing tool.

Art Gallery/Museum is the Best Get Lost In The City Option

Then, this time I will move to the 6th choice, if I am in the choice to go to the art gallery/museum or will choose to play mini-golf? I would directly choose to go to the museum or art gallery. After all, I don't have and can't play mini-golf, so the choice to go to the art gallery and museum is still a perfect choice for me.

There's no biased reason why I prefer one over the other, however, my interest in art has always been there. I also like drawing (more like doodling with pencils) although not like a professional. And I really admire the works of Klimt or Van Gogh. Klimt with his amazing symbollis paintings, and Gogh who created masterpieces behind the stories of his difficult life journey. Looking at Gogh's work is like watching the painter tell a story.

What about museums? You know what? The conversation I had with my crush was to count the number of museums in Jakarta. It turns out that there are more than 40 museums scattered all over Jakarta. We have the same interest in museums. Although I don't know why he likes museums, the reason I like museums is history. I love history, and museums are an easy and fun place to learn history.

Usually, whenever I go to a certain city, I'll ask, is there a museum nearby that I can visit? Like when I went to Semarang and visited the Mandhala Bhakti Struggle Museum, or when I went to Malang and found the Brawijaya Military Museum. Whereas in Jakarta, I've been to several museums, such as “Fatahillaah,” the wayang museum, the maritime museum, etc.

That's my two-point story for this weekend. Sorry if I took two points. Thank you for reading my writing. See you in my next article.
