Splinterlands social media challenge: Another battle using the earth element, another victory

in #hive-133232 months ago

I'm excited to tell you all about another epic battle of mine. I decided to go with the earth element this time, and thankfully, I won the battle. Let's get to the battle details.

The mana cap for this battle was 44. So I carefully picked an interesting line up for the battle.

My summoner was the Underboss Fabino. I decided to try out this summoner and it didn't disappoint. The Underboss Fabino can either reduce a unit's melee attack 2 or reduce it's armor and life.

In my tank position was the Endless ape. This is one of my favorite earth monsters. I always use it in the tank position whenever I decide to battle with earth. The stats for this card are just incredible and make it perfect for the tank position. It has an armor, which serves to protect its health. Even if the armor gets depleted in battle, it has a life of 10, which gives it more time in battle to withstand attacks from enemy units.

The Endless Ape is a melee attack card, so it is perfect for the front row. It also has a speed of 2 which in my opinion, is moderate. It has the scavenger ability, which enables it gain 1 extra health everytime a unit dies. Once again, this card impressed me in this battle, as it always have. It lasted until the very last round, despite the fact that it was first in the line of fire.

I put the Venari Knifer in the second position. This is a melee attack card, so it deserved to be in the front row. It has no armor but it has a very impressive health of 7. With this amount of health, it was able to withstand attacks for several rounds. In addition to that, it is fast, as it has a speed of 4.

The Venari Knifer has the thorn ability, so whenever it gets hit with a melee attack, it retaliates with two melee damages back to the attacking unit

In my third position, I have the Goblin Psychic. It is a magic attack card. It has a speed of 1, which makes it slow. But the health is 3, which I think is moderate. One of the major reasons why I chose this card is because of its tank heal ability. Using this ability, it kept restoring one third of the health of my tank (Endless Ape) each round.

I put the Mycelic Slipspawn at the fourth position. It is also a magic attack card. I should mention by now that I have this special love for magic attack cards, probably because I can put them anywhere I want, and they would function effectively.

One of the reasons I love the Mycelic Slipspawn is because it has a health of 10, which is massive. With this kind of health, I know it can withstand enemy attacks to a reasonable extent.

It also has the taunt ability, making the enemy units try to target it, that is, if they can.

The Ujurak Mystic occupies the fifth position. It is, of course, a magic attack card. It has an armor of 2 and a moderate health of 3, so it can hold its own in battle. It has a speed of 2 which is not bad. One of the reasons I chose this card because of its lookout ability, which is a big advantage to my team.

In the sixth and last position is the Gobson Sniper. This is a ranged attack card, so it is suitable for the back row in battle. It has a very impressive health of 6, and a moderate speed of 2.

The cool thing about this card is that it has two abilities. It has the snipe ability, which let's it target the first enemy monster that has ranged or magic attack that is not in the tank position. It also has the cripple ability, so whenever it attacks an enemy units, that unit loses 1 health.

My enemy went with the water element. The line up includes Kenya Frendul as the summoner, Flying squid in tank position, Sea Dog of Eight, Hardy Stonefish, Kulu Swimhunter, Cruel Sethropod, and Deeplurker.

The battle was an interesting one. My tank stood strong until the last round, of course with the help of the other units and their abilities. The Gobson Sniper was really helpful with it's snipe and cripple abilities. I was able to take out my opponent's tank first. The Goblin Psychic was really instrumental also because it kept replenishing my tank's health.

The Mycelic Slipspawn was the first of my units to go, but I was able to take out my opponent's Kulu Swimhunter in the third round. My Goblin Psychic went out in the fourth round but I was also able to take out one of my enemy units, Sea Dog of Eight. By round 6, I had taken out more of my enemy units, remaining only 1, while I had three more remaining. Eventually I won the battle.
Looking forward to my next victory.
