Of course, scholarships have become an integral part of the Splinterlands world. Scholarships help new players get integrated into the Splinterlands ecosystem, start well, and grow strong.

Today, I'll be focusing on the managers. I'll be presenting the do's and don'ts for managers when it comes to scholarships in splinterlands.

Do's

1. The basics are important

Managers should try to focus on teaching the scholars the basics. The importance of learning the basics, especially for newbies can never be underestimated. Like the popular saying goes, you can't build something good on nothing.

It is important for managers to put scholars through on the basics of splinterlands.Things like how to navigate the Splinterlands ecosystem, the tokens involved, the types of elements, the categories of monsters, the types of attacks and how they can be used, and even the various abilities. I won't also forget to mention strategies. These are the crucial thing a newbie scholar is supposed to know in order to have a smooth beginning on splinterlands and who better to educate them than the managers?

2. Be patient

Patience is crucial as well. Learning something new isn't easy, especially when it's a game as sophisticated to newcomers as splinterlands. Managers ought to be patience with scholars as that is the only way there can be any meaningful impact on the scholar's journey.

3. Be welcoming

A lot of times, newbies get very excited, and as a result, they tend to ask a lot of questions. Sometimes, the questions that come from such curiosity may be tiring for the manager. But it is important for the managers to always be welcoming as these questions and inquiries are a way for the newbies to learn faster and develop their skills for the better.

4. Set realistic expectations

Every stage of someone's splinterlands journey has its expectations. Someone just starting out has to set little expectations with the help of the manager. Having wild and huge expectations can lead to intense frustration when these expectations are not met, and that can really distort one's splinterlands experience

Don'ts

1. Don't overwhelm

There are a lot of thing to learn in splinterlands especially for first timers. As a manager, there could be this urge to want to teach everything to scholars at once, which is not really good. They could get overwhelmed. Overwhelming someone who is trying to learn for the first time could discourage the person, put them under stress and they might even lose interest.

2. Don't consume all of the person's time

While there might be that motivation to want to put a newbie through a lot in the shortest possible period, it is important not to eat up all of the person's time. I'm a firm believer that little by little, minute by minute, a lot can be learnt and a huge impact can be made.

3. Don't criticize mistakes

Newbies are prone to making mistakes. A manager would see several mistake being made by a scholar. Criticizing them for those mistakes is never the right way to go. Mistakes are how we learn. It is better to correct the mistakes in a respectful, kind manner, and that way, the person learns from such mistake and doesn't feel bad about it.
