What's up plebs?!
Back with another recent addition to my stack, although this one is not as fancy as the last one.
Just another boring coin that I got for around spot price. Let's check it out:
As you can see we have a 500 lire coin issued by the Vatican state, commemorating Ioannes Paulus II Pontifex Maximus aka Pope John Paul II:
Pope John Paul II (Latin: Ioannes Paulus II; Polish: Jan Paweł II; Italian: Giovanni Paolo II; born Karol Józef Wojtyła, Polish: 18 May 1920 – 2 April 2005) was head of the Catholic Church and sovereign of the Vatican City State from 1978 until his death in 2005. source
Clearly, it's a coin that sticks to the basics. A portrait, the local coat of arms, denomination etc.
And it comes with an engraved edge which is always a nice bonus
It reads
+++ TOTVS TVVS +++ M C M L X X I X
This is John Paul II motto (All Your) and date in roman numeral.
Meh, boring.
Anyways, let's see some more photos
When it comes to silver we have 11 g of 0.835 purity. Decent I guess :)
Not much else to say about the coin so I guess this is it for today frens!
Just another boring coin for the stack 🙃
See you soon with more shiny !
