I live naked and barefooted, very close to Earth and Nature, in an 18-acre, off-grid, clothing-optional, food-forest intentional community (GaiaYoga Gardens), way out in the jungles of Lower Puna, far East Big Island, Hawai'i, and I have for more than 5 years now. Although there are many challenges, I love my life, and I'm immensely grateful to live where and how I do, on my own terms! I would not want to live any other way! 😁🙏💚⚡💥🔥✴️✳️❇️👣🌱✨🤙
Warm greetings all! 😁🙏💚✨🤙
My off-grid jungle days have been quite a lot more occupied and busier over the last month or so, with me needing to squeeze more activities and tasks into the same amount of time. This is not particularly easy, mind you, as my time was already pretty full. I just adapt, adjust, and flow with it all the best I can.
This week, along with all my usual Hive and GaiaYoga tasks, I also have two sessions scheduled, one for tomorrow at 12:30PM with Emily, and one for Friday at 1PM with Harmony. Because giving sessions takes up so much time in my day, getting everything that I need done, both before and after the session, is often really quite challenging indeed. The timing of Emily's session on Thursday is going to be more challenging than usual, because she needs to leave here by around 5PM, so our session will be shorter, and I'll also have less time to get everything done before she arrives. I've got to get all my Hive stuff, including writing and publishing the next edition of this post, and community tasks, like milking the cow and collecting another batch of cow-milking food, done as well during the day, which isn't going to be easy.
I may try to write the next version of this post tonight again, and then schedule it to be published sometime tomorrow morning. That would free up a lot of time in the morning, which is what I need. Harmony's session on Friday is a little easier in terms of time, at least before her session. After both Emily's and Harmony's sessions, I still need to collect cow-milking food for the next morning, which is sometimes quite problematic, given how late they usually end. Since Emily's session will be shorter than usual, I should have time when it's done to collect cow food, but we shall see.
Time is such a bugger living how and where I do in this off-grid jungle community. You wouldn't think that free time would be so scarce, but alas, that is the case. Besides Hive, which takes up a lot of time in the morning to afternoon, and then again in the evening, there's all the other things that I have to fit in my days, like the various personal and community tasks here in the jungle, sessions, taking care of myself, and things like going out for Sunday Funday, and spending time with friends, among others. Some things, like taking time for myself, often fall by the wayside.
These various activities don't even include other important things, like plant and garden work, which have been woefully neglegected over the past several months again. It hurts my heart to see the sorry state of my nursery, and my plants in various gardens and planting beds. It's really quite difficult to keep things clean, organized, looking good here over time. Yep, I need to get to those ASAP, of course. So many things that need doing, and in so little time.
Yesterday, Tuesday, I left the Flow House, just before 2PM, focusing my attention first on some photography for these posts, and for my entry in the Shadow Hunters Contest. With photo-taking done, I strained and blended kefir (kefir-honey-cinnamon-cacao) in the Landing, then I took a short break up at the Flow House, to so some token management. After my break, I went to Tutu's to do the dry-goods order, and then I got my machete and collected a wheelbarrow full of assorted foliage for cow-milling food. Once I finished with cow food, I made Elohi and Iolanthe some food in Tutu's, and then I spent a while talking with Melekai, over some leftover pasta with spaghetti sauce and ground beef (I doctored up mine a bit more), that she had offered me. Once we both finished our pasta, I washed our dishes, then made my way back to the Flow House, to finally get into my evening round of Hive tasks, and to catch up on my notifications. I had a lot of notifications last night, and I was also pretty sleepy, so I wasn't able to get through them all before I had to stop to go to bed, just after 12AM, after a quick bit of token management, and a scan of my X feed. I did sleep pretty well, thankfully, waking up just before 7AM, doing a round of token management, starting on this post, doing a little more catching up on my notifications, then getting out of bed around 8:45AM, to go make my superfood fire coffee, and to milk the cow with Jo(hanna). As soon as milking was done, I returned to the Flow House to write this post. It's now just before 12:15PM, so a good time to end this post, so that I may get to my other few important Hive tasks, before leaving the Flow House later in the afternoon, to first take more photos for these posts, and then community/land work. I deeply appreciate y'all so very much! Until my entry for the Shadow Hunters Contest this evening, and the next iteration of this post tomorrow! Always forward, onward, upward, and whaleward, ho, together we go! 😁🙏💚✨🤙
