Previously, humans exploited animals thinking them clueless and intellect-free. The argument presented to justify animal abuse was that they do not possess emotions,feelings , cognition and well developed mental system. They are just to maintain ecosystem. But the advancement in life sciences is proving that animals also possess emotions, they also have feeling and they are aldo affected by their surroundings and their relations with other animals. So is it okay to exploit them still.
Being a medical student, I performed many experiments on animals. I injected in them medicines to check their potency and efficacy. All this happen without its assent. All these experiments have been imposed on them. I was a medicine student so I was just concerned with medicines but in veterinary department, they used to perform several surgeries as well. Those surgeries sometimes costed life of animals as well. So what is it accident or a murder?
First of all there is need to understand why do we perform experiments on animals? Being a specie of kingdom animalia, humans possess similar biological systems to animals. Performing experiments on animals is to understand their effect on biological systems to know human biological system.
For example# If a drug is synthesised to perform particular disease, it is must to check how it can further influence body. The drug is inserted in animals to closely see the effects drug causes on all the biological systems. Accurate potency,efficacy and signs and symptoms are predicted through these experiments so that the most modified and perfect version of medicine can be administered to humans.

Kinship is the major factor in all these procedure. The sacrifice of other species is to save our kins our own specie. Humans care for humans first and then others. Human can destroy nature as well to comfort themselves as we all evincing in the form of climate change. So the most stimulative factor to perform on animals without any hesitation is to protect kinship.
But does it benefit humans only? The answer to this is “No”.
The benefits of these researches are not confined to humans only but outcomes are utilised in the profit of animals as well. Performing experimemts help in understanding their body mechanisms as well . It assists in saving their lives. Secondly , animal caused diseases are spreading alot these days. Everyday we learn about a new disease whose origin is found in animals so it will be helpful in quelling those diseases as well.
Everyday thousands infact tens of thousands of animals are cut down to feed people. Meat is recommended for the proper nourishment and growth of body. If we are doubting on use of animals for experiments then why are we letting the sacrifice of animals for food. One can find plenty of religious arguments but let just think on the basis of humanity. Our ecosystem is maintained by balance. Here predator-prey cycle is necessary evil. We cannot deny this. So why should be raise suspicions on something that is for long term benefits of organisms.
I believe it is not bad or unfair to perform experiments on animals infact I support ethical experimentation on humans as well for better good.
