Happy 2024th Birthday Celebration, Dear @Uyobong

It's another 25th day of June, a day I reflect on my pilgrimage to Earth. Each day and year passing reminds me that I am here to fulfill a purpose and that I must, for God has made available every resource to aid it.

Reminiscing on the stories surrounding my birth as told by my parents, especially my mom, I live each day full of gratitude for the mercies and love I have received from God and humanity.

25th June 2024 is special in every sense. The day began with deep thoughts and impressions in my heart by the Holy Spirit and my attention was drawn to Apostle Paul's Epistle to the Corinthians which read below. I decided to segment and title each segment as they appeal to me. let's look at what Paul said in 2 Corinthians 4: 6-11, 14-18, (The Passion Translation)

God is the origin of our glorious being and demands a steady gaze on Him.

For God, who said, “Let brilliant light shine out of darkness,” is the one who has cascaded his light into us—the brilliant dawning light of the glorious knowledge of God as we gaze into the face of Jesus Christ.

We could look normal on the surface but within us is a treasure priced beyond rubbies.

We are like common clay jars that carry this glorious treasure within, so that the extraordinary overflow of power will be seen as God’s, not ours. Though we experience every kind of pressure, we’re not crushed. At times we don’t know what to do, but quitting is not an option. We are persecuted by others, but God has not forsaken us. We may be knocked down, but not out.

Living out God's glory requires that we live sacrificially and don't let our decisions be based on our emotions. We let life experiences work out True character in us.

We continually share in the death of Jesus in our own bodies so that the resurrection life of Jesus will be revealed through our humanity. We consider living to mean that we are constantly being handed over to death for Jesus’ sake so that the life of Jesus will be revealed through our humanity.

After we're dead and long gone, what will we be remembered for?

We do this because we are convinced that he who raised Jesus will raise us up with him, and together we will all be brought into his presence. Yes, all things work for your enrichment so that more of God’s marvelous grace will spread to more and more people, resulting in an even greater increase of praise to God, bringing him even more glory!

There is more to living that just feeding and making money.

So no wonder we don’t give up. For even though our outer person gradually wears out, our inner being is renewed every single day. We view our slight, short-lived troubles in the light of eternity. We see our difficulties as the substance that produces for us an eternal, weighty glory far beyond all comparison, because we don’t focus our attention on what is seen but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but the unseen realm is eternal.

The above is not just scriptural quotes, every line means wealth to me and challenges me to live each day purposefully. However, not just for me, every other being who desires to live out God's plan could glean from the wisdom captured above.

Remember that life will throw challenges and difficult moments at us but we must intentionally see our difficulties as the substance that produces for us an eternal, weighty glory far beyond all comparison. This will make more sense to the purpose-driven mind.

To God: My Salvation, My Ever Present Help, My Joy, My Glory, My Sustenance, My Peace, My Hope & Future, My Everything. I'm grateful for the past 366 days and the unfolding ones.
